Ford, GM: We’ll Leave Detroit If Union Won’t Bend

I own Ford stock and I will be disappointed if they negoitiate a contract with the UAW that pays 1 cents more than employees of Japanese U.S. manufacturers pay. The U.A.W. in the past has not only held up the companies but the U.S. consumers as well. The management in the 1970s could care less, because they manufactured junk, caved in to the unions, retired with their mega payoffs and benefits a the consumer be damed. The Japanese have changed all that. Current Ford is making good cars at a fair price but lose money doing that. It's time to fix the rest of the equation. WW
