Hedge Inflation with the Silver ETF [View article]
I agree with Sakata on CEF for a secured PM investment. Read the disclaimer for SLV. I am also highly into silver stocks and am buying junk 90% slowly via ebay.
Here is my only question; I remember the ripoff artists in 1980 that were buying, as now, your silver and gold; how are you going to sell your coins when you feel the high is reached? Are you going to mail them to reputable dealers? How are you going to shop for sell premiums? Forget graded coins, unless you have years of experience, they will always downgrade even slabbed coins when you sell.
Five Metal Royalty Companies to Consider [View article]
For an example of a royalty business plan, Jim Sinclair's company: "Tanzanian Royalty Exploration (T.TNX, AMEX.TRE) is a unique, publicly-traded financial gold company whose business strategy is to acquire royalty interests in gold production from its core assets".
From his company website at: www.tanzanianroyaltyex... This page gives a great pro/con chart showing the strategic advantage of a royalty setup.
Calling It Quits on Gold, Platinum - It's Time to Go Financials! [View article]
Oh yea, the trend is your friend. What are you watching, a 5 minute chart. Anyone that can ignore all fundamentals and put their money on government subsidized entities needs to read some history. A quote of a quote from jsmineset.com just yesterday: "One commentator on financial news said another financial institution could be near bankruptcy and that it could possibly occur this weekend. He followed up quickly with the comment that "We are not supposed to say that."" Get real! Thanks for your contrarian support.
Why Gold Juniors Have Not Yet Popped [View article]
PATIENCE! That is what brings the reward. I bought Wheaton River Minerals in 2003, held to 2005, when it became part of Goldcorp. Today, that investment has gained 1000%. I don't think all the trading and commissions would equal that. I will sit a while longer....... Yes, there are juniors that will pop, due diligence will find them. Day trading will not allow you to collect when they are gobbled by the majors though.
For all you paper trading, millisecond attention-span, get rich quick geniuses: Check Mr. Sinclair's integrity, credentials, history and wealth. There is a little known, long forgotten, methodology that he well knows; FUNDAMENTALS and WISDOM. Try it some time, if you have any funds left, when reality hits you.
Gold Bubble May Be Coming to an End [View article]
Put your "bubble" where your mouth is:
'Mr. Gold' has a challenge for you.....
"I am offering a $1,000,000USD wager to a financially qualified party that this will occur within the stated time frame. Any party on Bloomberg, CNBC or CNN-Business stating an opposite opinion on the price of gold should be informed of this challenge.
Please communicate to ANY vocal bearish so-called gold expert that I challenge them to put their money on their views.
Any commentator unable to financially meet this challenge should not be opining. If they really knew the gold and currency market they could easily meet the challenge."
"The technical procedure of a serious wager is:
1. Prove you can in fact wage the challenge by an attorney's letter. 2. Segregate the funds in cash or near cash kind in the hands of your attorney. 3. Execute an agreed upon binding contract stating the terms of the wager.
(This offer is void in all areas where wagering is illegal if any such areas still exist in our algorithm-geek casino world)
