I think you should take a longer look at our Canadian banks. CIBC is down 40% and Bank of Montreal 25% over the last year. You are correct on the resources and definitely the currency but the banks were a real drag. Why would one not look at the Barclays sector plays in Canada and avoid the financials. The banks are money making machines but they have been reporting asset backed losses.

This should not be considered a recommendation to buy securities.
