Short term hiccup. Long term INVN shareholders are likely to do well. I've been waiting for a pullback to get in on this one. I believe now might be the time...

    docrog123,

I'm not exactly sure why my comment warrants that level of vitriol, but I suspect there is some understandable sensitivity among folks who are surprised to be down 40% after yesterday.

Anyway, I did not pretend to present new information. The purpose of my comment was to be a reminder of what we're dealing with. I did so because I was reading what sounded like pure denial from commentators i.e., "the article is correct - the market is wrong" from truffelpig. That statement, and your new statement, "This company will soon be a very big money maker...," are phrased in such a way that they completely ignore the possibility that, well, there is decent chance the market does NOT prove to be wrong here, and this company might NOT soon be a money maker. That is a real possibility. I offered a reality check to that end. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but I stand by it. And so do folks a lot smarter than myself. Something worth considering. That's all I'm saying.

    Cheers and good luck.

Ummm... the artical is NOT correct - whether the market today is wrong or not. You see, the article made a case for buying EXEL when it should have told people to sell EXEL or at least be very cautious because, well, it's a biotech and it's small and it's losing money and...

  • Darden Restaurants: A Farewell To My Once Beloved [View article]
I'm just perplexed why this was ever anyone's "beloved". Red Lobster? Olive Garden??! Low quality bland food paraded around like it's authentic or whatever. Of course at some point the masses would wake up and discover they're being duped. I'm just surprised it's taken this long.

  • Does A Tough Start Mean A Bad Year? [View article]
"...people spend the most in their 30s and 40s. Well, now we're faced with too few people in those age ranges and too many past their peak spending years. This will continue until the echo boomers, the kids of the baby boomers, get into their high spending years."

    ^^^
Better think of a different reason as to why people aren't spending 'cuz, guess what? - us kids of those baby boomers are squarely in that supposed sweet-spot-of-spending age range right now.

I'm guessing this rocket's got more fuel to burn in the short term. This could change in the face of terribly bad news, but it's beginning to look like the worst is finally behind NBG. Don't get me wrong - conditions are still far from pretty over there. But I believe we have, at the very least, reached a point where we can say it not getting worse. As such, I don't expect the extreme plummet like what happened when NBG took off this past May. (I also would not expect the rocket to climb quite so high so fast time either!).
