My investment principles are mostly based on macro-trends and industry fundamentals. Consider myself an aggressive investor with more than 10 years of experience in the equity market. I do not have any particular trading pattern, but on a sustained basis I spend about 1 hour everyday scouting for investment opportunities and keeping abreast of market developments - which includes reading a number of SA articles. A few things I have learnt over the years - 1) It is hard to make money and even harder to sustain momentum. 2) Set modest expectations and if nothing else, take comfort in preserving your principal since for every Warren Buffet, there are 1000's of delinquent accounts in the investing world. 3) I do not believe in market timing and neither should you. 4) Patience is a great virtue and if you befriend him, you will be a much better investor than 90% of the folks out there. I hold graduate degree in Computer Science and work full time at a tech major.
