The ability to integrate existing technology when its ready to be commercially viable and mass produced is my view of innovation. They didn't invent the mp3 player or tablet either. You have a simplistic understanding of what innovation is. Not one of Innovation's synonyms is the word invention.

ChopChop- Explain how the ipad mini is a copy when they pioneered the concept to begin with, albeit slightly bigger at first. They copied the size of another tablet that copied their concept to begin with?

Its amazing how apple hasn't even come out with a watch, and Samsung has already tried to copy the anticipated fitness features of the Iwatch. Also, why would you randomly want to measure your heart rate when holding your phone? What is the context of that? If it was integrated into a larger purpose or strategy, like an all encompassing fitness strategy, that's one thing. But its a gimmick. They are just such a joke. But hey, as an AAPL supporter, its better to have incapable competitors than capable ones.

  • WSJ: Apple launching two larger iPhones in 2H14, doing away with plastic [View news story]
Nobody cares what the "calls" are for what Apple has to do in order to compete. Come talk to me when competitors dominate mobile web traffic and control a majority of the smartphone profit. But thanks for that last bulletpoint anyway.

"I realize that some people were reading rumors about that the entry phone would be the 5c, but that was never our intent." -Tim Cook

  • Apple, China Mobile sign iPhone deal: WSJ [View news story]
Thanka WSJ...Stick to just reporting something without your commentary...

"A deal with China Mobile would give Apple access to a subscriber base that is seven times the size of Verizon Wireless, the U.S.'s largest carrier. .......But Apple has struggled to gain market share in China in smartphones amid competition from lower-cost rivals"

What do you mean BUT? There is no BUT. That problem is now over with this deal, and was never a problem to begin with.

  • Apple nears Oct. high amid reports of improving supplies, order pickups [View news story]
    Dear SA Editor,

From now on, at the end of all the silly reports that relate to production order rumors and/or supply chain content, please remind all with the following quote. This quote that many of us smart investors already know.

"The supply chain is very complex, and we obviously have multiple sources for things. Even if a particular data point were factual, it would be impossible to interpret that data point as to what it meant for our business," -Timothy Cook
