  • Axion Power Concentrator 392: Mar. 14, 2015 [View instapost]
Still a shareholder, RuggedDC (started buying in 2009 and down 99.6%).

In the same boat as you and would guess we've lost similar amounts of money on this one.

  • Axion Power's IPO Crash: An Opportunity To Buy? [View article]
The dilution for legacy holders of this stock has been horrendous (many down 90+% like myself). I like the story but this is a "swing for the fences" type of investment and like you've mentioned, investors need to be aware of the risks associated with these stocks.

Have you heard anything new about APPY lately? I know they had a few investor conferences last month but it seems pretty quiet and the stock price is gradually going down...

  • Axion Power, A Deep Alpha Opportunity With A Clear Timeline [View article]
The only thing I disagree with in this article is the "clear timeline" comment in the title. It doesn't seem like anyone knows when Axion will turn the corner and become profitable (for themselves and for stockholders).

Hoping for a few sales prior to 2016.

You're going to think I'm crazy when I suggest this, JP.....but "will.i.am" of the Black Eyed Peas came out with a song about a year ago with Justin Beiber called "That Power".
For some reason, I see that song playing on a commercial for E-Power. I see a truck rolling down the highway with a green "e" light on the front grill...kind of like a big "S" on the chest of Superman (not even sure if that's even legal/compliant or not with lights...but go with it).
There's one verse that wouldn't apply but I think you could find 30 seconds that would work and it would create a message that this technology is newer, innovative and cutting edge... it even complies with 2017 EPA emissions standards.
Not sure if you could spin it the way you would want to spin it but thought I would throw it out there.
I just think it needs a "hipper", younger vibe to grab attention.

    @RickKrementz

    Gotta agree with you.

I don't know too many 68 year olds working 9-to-5. They're either retired donating their time, on a golf course, or bagging groceries because they either need to or want to stay active.

I've been supportive of TG up to this point but am totally frustrated with the lack of activity going on.

In total agreement that the weather is the lamest excuse for the lack of sales .... I love your profile quote (just sell some ********* batteries already!!!).

Let's face it. The silence is deafening. It's too bad that we've gone from "it's all about the battery now" and "we won't need financing unless its for expansion"....to......... it's the stockholders fault!

I equate the RS dilemma on whether or not you should vote for it/against it, to a parent that enables his college graduate son/daughter to stay at home (but their son/daughter refuses to look for a job). They go out and network; aka, get drunk at a bar (indulge in bonuses), but they're not hungry enough to pound the street and actively find work. In order for them to become a productive member of society, at some point you have to cut them off financially otherwise you'll enable them for the rest of your life.

I know the majority of you have already voted for the RS (I'm reluctant because that's not the root of the problem for AXPW), and it's an almost certainty that it will pass, but at some point they have to grow up and stop asking for money from the legacy holders. The well will eventually run dry.

I'm not a troll and I'm normally not this pessimistic but no mojo out of New Castle (I would prefer sales, not hype) concerns me. I've written my 1m+ shares off as a bad investment because that's what penny stocks are. It would be nice to eat crow and have the stock double or triple but I don't have a good feeling about this company anymore.

I'll hold out until they eventually turn off the lights, but I'm not going to buy any more stock. It's a lottery ticket and the more I play the more I lose.

Thank you for allowing me to vent. It just saved me $100/hr as opposed to sitting on a couch at a psychologist's office. :)

  • Understanding The Details Of Axion's Reverse Split Proposal [View instapost]
Thank you for your explanations, JP and Bazooooka. I'm late to reply back but I really appreciate it.

Not being able to articulate my thoughts, JP nailed it on the head. My main concern was how successful the previous cash infusions have been and whether we're doing this to just keep the lights on or if we're actually making progress when raising money year after year. It's difficult to measure the progress on a balance statement of a young company when there aren't many sales, but you hope that all of the intangibles and the hard work pays off for them (and us) and the size of the pie grows proportionally like the theory suggests. Time will tell.

2014 is a critical year. The continued promise of sales can only last so long. Eventually, we either sell batteries or we don't.

    I'm sorry, JP.
I'm still having a hard time with your dilution analogy.

I know you've presented several scenarios and I know you've said in the past, "I can explain it but I can't understand it for you" .... but I want to run my scenario by you.

In September 2009, there was approximately 26.42 million shares outstanding. I am one of the legacy stockholders before all of the raises .... if I haven't added to my current position, but there are now 221 million shares, wouldn't there be a fundamental shift in my stock ownership percentage, my voting control, and the value of my individual shares?

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that the piece of my pie is the same proportional size as it was in 2009.

Too bad they just can't sell more batteries to increase the share price. I understand the attempt to get listed on Nasdaq and the benefits of that.
All this does over the short term (2-3 years) is lengthen their runway.....again. Maybe they can throw some bonuses in there while they're at it.
    I'm frustrated.

    JP.
    Random thought.
I just made a long boring drive back from visiting family. It was night time and I was looking at all the trucks driving their usual routes (on the 10 from California to Arizona) and I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be cool if the trucks that adopted ePower's conversion had a green "e" light on the front or side of the truck....Imagine the exposure!
It looks like there's regulation on lighting....yellow lights on the front (with one on each corner of the cab and three in the middle) and red lights in the back.
I know it's random but I just thought from a marketing standpoint it would really get the word out quickly once the adoption process starts.
Hope all is going well and things are progressing nicely.
