Looks like the Greeks got their collective arses beaten in soccer. Pride you say. Pride and smarts would prevent one from allowing ones nation to get so mired in debt in the first place. Commonsense went a begging here...but lets blame the Germans....Why not !! They have been the whipping boys for all of Europe's past ills...why not make it all their fault now???

Looks like the Greeks got their collective arses beaten again. Pride you say...pride would involve taking off ones shoes and socks to have all digits available for counting. It does not take rocket science to figure out that the life style the Greeks were living was surreal compared to the rest of the world. It's always easy to lay the blame at someone elses feet. Why not the Germans....they are the whipping post for all of Europe's ills in the past and why not now as well.

George Soros' remarkable speech on the "political bubble" of the EU: "The (current) political dynamic makes the disintegration of the EU just as self-reinforcing as its creation has been ... (however) the likelihood is that the euro will survive because a breakup would be devastating not only for the periphery, but also for Germany." He gives the Germans 90 days to come around. Worth the full read.

So, in essence, we will be going back to square one. The Euro will become defunct. We will be back to the continent of stronger and weaker economies. The supposed higher powers that be will attempt their plans of manipulation, to no avail because eventually, the best laid plans go awry. I can happily speculate about the possible out comes until I am blue in the face, but I choose to fasten my seatbelt, grab my bag of popcorn and enjoy the show.

Any way you slice it , dice it and serve it up...facts are facts..the world is in a mess...actually quite a big one .. and if we come out of this with our shorts still on we will be dam lucky. The market is headed for the trash can... you can talk all the statistics, flow charts and economic jargon you want... but two things are for sure.... if the little man on main street is not working, recovery ain't happening....and if you can"t manage your debt...a word that the world markets do not seem to understand...recovery is also not in the cards. When it all goes down..which it will unless the higher powers that be get their heads out of their arses.. the market will be the least of our worries..So if you believe we are in for an end of the market rally..pop that champagne cork and hope that the tooth fairy will be bringing it to you.

That being said, it seems like the economic process world wide is having a good dose of fermented berries. I choose to sit on my cash and wait until the whole process sobers up.
