    • Is Google Bashing Finally Peaking? [view article]
      A provocative article which will polarize reactions as we have seen above already. I simply cannot see why people are suggesting that Google is overvalued (even now) let alone at lower multiples. The company is still growing very fast (albeit more slowly than before because of the law of large numbers), the arguments above re Youtube and energy efficiency are very compelling as is the emerging opportunity in the mobile space. It seems to me that Google is still a great company, compared to its growth rate and general prospects is cheaper than other big internet companies, and is only just beginning in it domination of the internet.

      From a short term perspective I think it will only take a little less bashing and some good news to reignite the stock price and long term it's a real bargain.

      This presupposes that GS will go up after the earnings release in both scenarios. How about if it falls? I assume you are bullish? In fact, the word is that GS will have disappointing results and reveal hitherto unexposed write downs. Maybe I am wrong ... Feb 26 09:20 AM
