Like many here, I'm learning. What I need to learn is how to change my all stock, all growth portfolio, to an income oriented portfolio. The bust and crash are a constant reminder that my risk level is just to high. Up until now, dividends were considered undesirable - a nuisance really. I've kept my core in SPY and made good, mostly long-term investments in the tech sector (I have worked in Silicon Valley for 27 years so I invested in what I know). Now you'll find me lurking at SA's Investing For Income, subscribing to D4L's premium service, and opportunistically morphing my portfolio for stable dividend income.
