  • China's Economy Is Undergoing A Huge Transformation That No One's Talking About [View article]
China is transitioning from a manufacturing powerhouse to a more service-oriented economy as a way to diversify it's activities. World commodities ex-Oil will remain flat for the next 2 years on global slowdown. BUT China has on its side it's market interventionism (at least someone in charge takes a decision within 3 days of an ongoing crisis and put paleative measures)

  • 4 Reasons Why Oil Will Not Trade Much Below $40 [View article]
OPEC not a Cartel dictating Oil prices anymore, but a Cartel on quantities offered at new-low equilibrium prices that kills competition yet controls future supply through Acquisitions along the way to finally control prices once again... Brilliant.

  • Netflix and Naspers to duel in South Africa [View news story]
IMHO, This could be a play from Naspers to become licensed in that country as BABA's Jack Ma, who showed interest in becoming the Netflix of China.

  • 4 Reasons Why Oil Will Not Trade Much Below $40 [View article]
IMHO, On the supply side, one of the problems is that the most efficient rigs will not be closed because of they have premium / unique productivity. Rigs currently being closed in the US were going to be closed anyway, which translates in weak expectations on supply control in the near term. May be Demand will pick up earlier than supply accommodates?

  • HEDJ: Is There Any More Upside In This Euro-Hedged ETF? [View article]
Hi Noah, in my view, I noted many people get confused when evaluating HEDJ as an ETF, specially in it's objective and context.

Current Euro favors EU exporters and will continue, moreover with the QE program, in play until, at least, 2017. EU exports are represented by 60% (intra-european countries), 10% US, 30% other countries.

HEDJ invests in companies that benefit the most on exporting activities and international clients. The hedging helps only non-european investors by protecting exchange rate on earnings. The bet here is not the level of the Euro, but the reactivation of the EU industries not only because of the current Euro weakness (even i f it stays around 1.05-1.10, helps exporters), but because of QE effects already in play. If we add EU fiscal issues on each of the remaining countries and of course, Greece in 6 months or so, Euro will tend to weaken for a couple of years even with gov measures along the way.

  • How Long Will The Energy Sector's Struggles Last? [View article]
Oil peak prices will not be references anymore, not because of Supply / Demand issues, but because there are supplementary inputs for each mayor segment: Gas for electricity generation, Ni-Cadmium for cars, solar for home energy. Eco-solutions are starting to gain traction within the international community, even with Oil peak at 50-75 for the next 5 years.

  • My Problem With Disney In One Chart [View article]
I do not see a cause-effect analysis on how to get to a low range on DIS price.
Knowing that past is not future, certainly DIS is a buy at this levels if remains above 200ma in the coming weeks. FCF no doubt will improve with upcoming revenue channels (parks, content, media, franchises)
