  • Crude futures parse losses on inventory draw [View news story]
Oversupply is an International issue (NON-OPEC supply) that still can take us to a 35-45 price level during 1Q 2016 when, in theory, demand could pick up globally. Successive bottoms will keep moving as downstairs.

  • Alibaba From A New Angle: Big Data CRM [View article]
eBay could be an excellent vehicle to position BABA in the US Market. However, Intl movement remains very efficient (moreover when items get to the US curriers network) and perhaps would be more intelligent for BABA to put their own on brand on US soil to gain awareness and marketshare gradually: Alibaba US, an M/X and logistics business (I am assuming eBay post-spinoff shows weakness in it's business model)

  • 10 Consequences Of Greece's 'No' [View article]
    Mr. El-Erian, interesting article, BUT

would you invite a poor man (Greece) to join a millionaire's poker table ?

This is an unique situation where the economic term of "moral hazard" applies on two parts at the same time: EU assumed that Greece was able to adapt if given the opportunity and by itself. On the other hand, Greece avoided obvious reforms in front of global economic leaders and yet enjoyed the free lunch from 2012 until now, gaining access to resources and new markets. Well, Now Greece needs a ride you agree??

  • Next Steps In The Greek Drama [View article]
European Union accepted Greece as EU member after a formal, structured process which included socio-economic indicators analysis, status of Fiscal policies targets, among other issues. During this on boarding process, EU knew in advance that Greek data was Greek-made, but EU leadership did not check Greece's national accounts for veracity nor followed up on reforms.

Because in that way they reserved an intrinsic right to have a justified Greexit as a future option and, on the other hand, they now can put the blame on the Greek side because Greeks "did not provide real numbers" (on other level, they cannot be accused of "discriminating" under-developed economies)

A Question remains: who is to blame for this situation ???

  • VNQ: Take The 3.85% Yield; Duplication Is Rarely Worth It [View article]
    Congrats, Very Nice article.
what is your take on VNQ's NAV in the months prior to the rate hike, do you see it already pricing in the expected sept hike at current price range? 77-76? (technically of course the hike day may bring more downside)

Bill, nice and neat article. What's your view on incremental levels on S&P ? seems for many investment banks 2150-2200 range is already probable, but from now until rate hike markets may remain cautious. what's your take ?

Taylor is just repeating what her financial advisor told her. I could agree with her position, but she is not paying me dividends as Apple does.

FitBubble ready to blow IMHO. $30-$33 is more than a fair value for a device that has not been endorsed by the Medical Devices industry. coming weeks will tell..
