As a serial entrepreneur and technologist, my 40 years in industry consumed me and investing was left to professionals. Most of my net worth was in the previous company I started when it went public in January 2000. A few months later, 90% of that paper wealth began evaporating as the tech bubble burst. After selling the business and retiring in 2003, time and interest allowed me to devote greater attention to investing and risk management. I spent the next 4 years developing a set of analytical tools to help me manage my investments. Those tools are now available to anyone at InvestEngines.com and are being used by other investors, financial analysts and wealth managers.
I have advanced degrees in physics and
electrical engineering and hold over 30 patents.

InvestEngines is a subscription-based web application that automates a personalized quantitative asset, portfolio, and risk management methodology. It is comprised of a simple web interface sitting in front of a sophisticated statistical engine that consumes daily market data and generates quantitative
indicators for asset allocation specific to each individual’s goals and risk tolerance. InvestEngines uses closed-loop adaptive analytics (patent-pending) that learn from the data to better manage periodic bouts of heightened volatility. It augments traditional investment methods, modern portfolio theory, and fundamental analysis with a low turnover discipline that can raise risk-adjusted returns over the long term. InvestEngines is also a generalized tool for automated back testing of individualized investment strategies that can be extended to 3rd party platforms and additional investment models. The results it generates provide continuous feedback for evaluation and include specific asset and portfolio metrics that tie directly back into financial planning models for refinement. InvestEngines offers significant upside value by being an active and disciplined partner in assessing investment choices and generating actionable alerts to downside risk with a demonstrable statistical benefit.
