  • WiLAN buys industrial automation patent portfolio; shares rise [View news story]
I own WILN and I am adding to my holdings. This stock pays a dividend and is under $2.00. I see it going to at least $3.00 at a minimum. LONG WILN!

  • Are You Letting Yourself Be Trapped By A High Yield? [View article]
I have bought high income investments and held for the long term. I could not be happier with my results. Most of the whiners in this space try and day trade (pennies per share in some cases) and get disappointed. Golden rule is DO NOT BUY A HIGH YIELD INVESTMENT WHEN YOUR INTENTION IS TO DAY TRADE! There is a place for day traders, but high yield holdings is not the place to practice it.

  • What I Think About Prospect Capital [View article]
I am LONG PSEC. I will stay long. I will continue adding to my holdings. I can only laugh at all the whiners. Most are day traders who have found out the hard way that PSEC is in no way a day traders venue. If you like the yield, buy it and hold the stock as a monthly high yield instrument. Try and trade for pennies a share and you will be disappointed. LONG PSEC,

  • ConocoPhillips: A Fresh Perspective [View article]
Like I have stated before, COP has been the cornerstone of my investments for 40 years. Always reinvested the dividend. Yes, I worked my entire working life for this company and was always impressed with the quality of management. It will remain my largest investment until I leave it to my heirs. Wealthy heirs they will be.

Most likely trolling by "class action" lawyers. Looks like they have accused multiple companies. I see no descepencies in my royalty payments. Just effects of much lower prices and in some cases production cuts.

I have royalty checks coming monthly from Chesapeake too. The reason payments are down from where they were is BECAUSE energy prices are lower and possibly even production. CHK is not passing any costs they are not legally entitled to by contract. Tell your girlfriend to do her DD.

Ahhhh, the naysayers and shorts come out of the woodwork again. If I REALLY felt like you people do I would not spend one minute following CHK. I would be spending my time researching companies I was positive on. Now my take. I believe this article is SPOT on. CHK will double as energy prices recover. And recover faster than most think. LONG CHK!

  • Merrill Lynch raises energy outlook, names four Big Oil stocks to buy [View news story]
Energy companies are the place to be right now. The overall market is hitting new all time highes with regularity. Many are predicting a substantial correction. Energy has been beaten down unmercifully. Do I really need to explain any further?

I know they are preparing for export. Just check out the huge $11 BILLION NGL Cheniere export facility currently under construction at Corpus Christi, TX. This facility is located next to the prime Eagle Ford Shale area. CHK is a MAJOR player in the area.

  • Linn Energy: The Public Offering Signals A Higher Chance Of A Future Distribution Cut [View article]
hhmcdon: I totally agree with you. Let a VERY competent management do their job. I am always amazed at the "arm chair quarterbacks" trying to second guess the people who run a company. LONG LNCO and adding more.

  • Linn Energy: A House Of Pain [View article]
I continue to be a BUYER at these levels. I look at LNCO as a compelling buy (along with other similar companies) because I see oil/ng prices coming back faster and higher than most analyst see. I base my projections on 35 years experience in the oil industry. We shall soon see.
