  • Microsoft beats by $0.07, beats on revenue  [View news story]
Once again, MSFT comes out ahead, among undeserved hate. It proves that they are going on the right track by replacing Balmer with someone who knows stuff. It sure is a proud day to be a long time Microsoft shareholder!

  • McDonald's not jumping ahead of itself after strong Q4  [View news story]
MCD is very much like MSFT, both incredibly big, both have lots of income and free cash, both still hove tons of space to grow, and of course both have lots of haters for the sake of hating. I wouldn't be surprised to see them break their highs year after year.

  • Starbucks pulls strong comp in FQ1, guidance doesn't dazzle  [View news story]
Splendid results for a big brand! Lower cost, higher margin, good sales growth and fine expansion speed. I don't know know what not to like about this company (maybe except its coffee, but that's just my personal taste).

Nope. It's obviously a supply problem.

  • At the close  [View news story]
Dips are tasty :) They are also the opportunities to load up valuable companies' shares before the inevitable recovery. Don't panic, stick to the fundamentals, and make responsible decisions.

  • Solar stocks fall as energy stocks sell off, oil trades near $30/barrel  [View news story]
Really interesting how solar stock correlates to oil price even though in reality they don't have that much connection. Energy funds sold off as if the fundamentals don't matter anymore. Probably a good idea to start buying solar on my way down here.

  • Southwest Airlines peels off 9% in incongruous move  [View news story]
Big traffic growth, big fuel cost dip, and the market reacts -9% for a mere -1% for revenue per ASM? Could be a very good chance to buy here.

  • Tesla: Credit Suisse's 2 Main Catalysts Are Easily Shown To Be False  [View article]
The market is almost always irrational though. I actually appreciate Mr. Santos and his effort to deliver high quality articles, unlike some other writers on SA who clearly don't do any research. It's just that people have different opinions at times.

  • Starbucks: Corner Store Convenience, Drive-Through Speed, And Dividends  [View article]
To be honest, I don't like Starbucks's coffee at all and I am a coffeeholic. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't invest in SBUX. My personal coffee preference and my investment decisions are completely different things.

  • Stocks post best month since 2011  [View news story]
Saying this month is best month is ignorant of the crisis for the previous two months when investors were spooked by growth concerns and interest rate hike possibility. Everything is relative, I guess.

  • Nil Revenues, Negative Cash Flows And Huge Accumulated Deficit - A Long Way To Go  [View article]
    1. Sanofi is SNY, not SAN
    2. Your "serious side effect" points to Afrezza's main site... that's plain lazy and does nothing to prove your point.
    3. All of the points you propose are assumptions, and provides no new information.

My thoughts? Adam Feuerstein is a much better short writer. To make your points more appealing, you need to do solid researches, not just throwing around numbers most of us already know.

  • SolarCity misses by $0.46, beats on revenue  [View news story]
Revenue growth is fantastic, but the cost side is dragging down EPS. Btw, I am reading ($2.10) for EPS from all other places, so the miss is $0.15.
