  • GameStop Beats Estimates and Ups Outlook [View article]
GameStop has been a great stock and still has a lot of potential. There are a lot of great games that have been and are being released which will provide a nice boost to sales. The gaming audience just keeps getting bigger as the Nintendo generation keeps getting older.

GameStop has been and will continue to be a great stock to own!

  • Why Google is More than Just a Search Engine [View article]
There is a chance that a small start up will do what Google did to Microsoft and completely catch Google off guard. But if that is the case it should be very obvious before wall st even understands what hit them.

Google has become the most integrated web recourse available today. As long as they utilize there great innovation in internet applications they will continue to grow at high rates.

  • Stock Prices Pull Ahead of Profits: Break From Cyclical Valuation Patterns? [View article]
I know historically we are not at extremely low P/E ratios. However, with all the capital in the market and all the capital on the sidelines, I think the demand for stocks will drive P/E ratios up through 2007.

  • Waiting Until AppleTV Flops to Buy Apple Stock  [View article]
Thanks for all the comments and feedbacks. This was my first article and there were some major things I missed.

Mac sales are the ultimate key to AAPL and if they are up this quarter then I'm going to be really pissed I haven't started buying in. So far it's been iPods carrying Apple with Macs starting to make a starring role in earnings. Now that you have anticipation of the iPhone, I’m expecting iPod sales to take a hit. I know the iPhone and iPod both have their own advantages and both could sell well side-by-side. But I personally think people will hold off on a Nano or iPod Video to buy the iPhone.

Now with the TV I agree Tommo, they have received some great reviews. However the user reviews on CNET worries me. It’s still a “good” review but 6.5 out of 10 isn’t that great.

    reviews.cnet.com/Apple...

There will be the Apple hardcore fans that will buy the Apple TV, but I still think there will be problems beyond that. In the long run, once more is added I’m sure it will be a great product and I’ll probably buy one. But for now I just can’t see this thing being that hot.

Deutsche Bank analyst Chris Whitemore thinks that Apple TV will eventually grab 20-30% of the $26 billion living room entertainment box market. That’s a huge stretch for me. Maybe way down the road that will happen, but it just seems like some analysts are overly excited about this product.

Ultimately in 2007 Mac sales will pick up and this stock will be incredibly hot. After reading over all the comments I am considering a small position now with anticipated strong Mac sales. Like I mentioned earlier I missed some things and I don’t want to be on the sidelines if Mac sales are up.

    Thanks Again,
    Aaron

  • Apple For Enterprise: Yes, Change Does Happen [View article]
I am an avid Mac user and I don't understand how anyone would want to use a PC. Macs can now communicate very efficiently with PC's and run almost anything a PC can run. The machines are built to last and run extremely well. When I think back to all the problems I had with my old dell and HP, I feel like I've been in heaven with my last two macs. The one time something did go wrong, I simply took it into the apple store and they fixed it the same day, right in front of me at the genius bar.

The only problem I see is that a comparable dell (if you can really call it comparable) is about half the cost of a new Mac. However, like Dan mentioned in a previous comment, mac repair costs are less. I would also add that Macs last much longer then a PC does. With that said, over the next couple years the small sliver of apple computers, as total computers, is going to grow quite a bit.

  • Inflation or Recession? Parsing the Fed Statement [View article]
I completely agree that the statement was still hawkish. A lot more hawkish then most people think. With the continued risk of inflation and slower growth we might be looking at possible stagflation. Scary, but I think that's where we are heading.

  • Market Strategy: Lean Against the Wind [View article]
Protection is the best thing for your portfolio in this unsure market. We believe that the market will eventually slip into a bear market on all the weak economic news. Even if it doesn't, there isn't enough good news to push us into a rally. A rate cut would help, but that probably won't happen. If you can't trim down your portfolio, Ultra Short ETF's are a great way to add protection to your portfolio.

  • Ethanol Pact: A Win Win Situation [View article]
I think Ethanol is a needed solution to our energy addiction. It not only makes us less reliable on the Middle East but it also provides a more sustainable source of fuel. Ethanol allows us the choice of switching between it and gasoline depending on our current needs and prices. What a great alternative for the gasoline market!

With that said, we are a country that thrives on free trade and this tariff is not only hurting Brazil but also America. I understand why we are protecting our farmers, but we are just making it harder to lower our dependency on foreign crude. If we truly want an alternative to Oil we need to at least lower the tariff on Ethanol. We will never achieve the capacity to produce enough Ethanol on our own. Abolishing the tariff all together would have detrimental effects on farmers and companies like ADM, but a lower tariff would not hurt them too much. It would also help push our county into a new market of two sources of fuel.
