John is the Test Manager for the Microsoft High Performance Computing team. Prior to that, he was the test lead for the same team. He has worked on the first, second, and third versions of this product. Before joining the HPC team John was the Test Manager for the Xbox/Xbox360 System Software team, where he led a group of 35 Software Design Engineers in Test, both full time and contractors, on the testing of the Xbox and Xbox360 Kernel, Software Development Kit, and User Interface. John was the Test Manager for Microsoft Passport, and before that, the test Lead for Microsoft Passport. Before joining the Passport team John worked on the Windows NT team. He worked there for 5 years as both a Software Test Engineer, and Software Design Engineer in Test, testing a variety of things using a wide range of tools and techniques. Prior to working for Microsoft, John was a Crew Chief in the US Army, where he repaired, maintained, and deployed AH/OH-6 helicopters in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He was also stationed in Mannheim, Germany for 2 years as part of his Army service. He spent 7 years in the Army, and participated in Operation Just Cause and Operation Desert Storm. John Graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelors Degree in the Humanities. John was enrolled in the Matteo Ricci program, which is run by Seattle University and Seattle Prep, and accelerated program where students can earn a BA degree in 6 years of High School and College rather than the traditional 8 years. John was born in Seattle, Washington, USA, and he has lived in that area his entire life, outside of his military service.

Our Chief Investment Officer is Rajesh Patel. Prior to Red Acre, Rajesh was a Member of Technical Staff with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory where he analyzed the strategic value of emerging technologies to enhance the capabilities of the U.S. Military. Rajesh holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of California, Davis, a Master's in Environmental Science from Rice University and bachelors degrees in both Physics and English from the University of Connecticut.
Red Acre's investment style is to look for opportunities where the intrinsic value of a stock is likely to go through a dramatic transition due to some future event about which we can predict an outcome relying on our research and due diligence experience. We are patient investors and are comfortable with having time horizons of several months to over a year for our investment thesis to fully play out.
