"Vista supports strong hard drive encryption." How strong? Army strong? There are plenty of professional software out there to do the job and you don't rely on Microsoft to update your encryption ability every ? years.
CPU power??? AMD upcoming quad-core processor not enough for Vista?? If so, Vista is really a monster. Besides, AMD has played a major role in helping Microsoft in developing Vista.
INTC's soaring this fall has very little to do with Vista unless tomorrow Microsoft announces that no more support for XP. It's simply just a cyclic event that INTC ramps up with its roadmap and release a series of new chips that solve power and heat issues.
