  • Nuance's Prospects Look Up After Years Of Underperformance [View article]
Reading this article makes me want to sell the few shares I have left....There is no definable value element and it appears to be an potential tax loss candidate for everyone including Carl Ichan.

  • Linn Energy: When Will The Pain Stop? [View article]

The projections most probably also were made while the Lybian production was being restored and since then it has dropped by around 500K BBLS/d.
One could also expect rapid drops in the drilling capex in most producing countires and concomitant corrections necessary to produciton growth estimates. In the US where the light sweet shale oil really is not in any direct competition for the world makets I believe the high decline rates of such wells coupled with the constricting capex and consequent reduced drilling will quickly bring our internal supply demand for light sweet crude
back into a more reasonable level. The big wild card would be extending
US oil exports from condensate to light sweet crude. Although I have no way to confirm my gut feeling, it appears to me that a 2% supply demand
imbalance became a panic of "Talking Heads" screaming that the "Sky is falling" and the stampede to exit anything oil fed on itself.

  • The FDA Oil Tanker Will Not Be U-Turned And Amarin Corporation Faces Collateral Damage [View article]
As a former AMRN holder during the ADCOM debacle it seems to me the FDA not only reached for a CV conclusion beyond the scope of the SPA, but they did real damage to the efficacy of treating high triglycerides. The trashing of the SPA without prior communication and negotiation with the company, obviously damages that process. The second issue of treating high Triglycerides now appears to be a highly intellignet course of action to which the FDA must find some accomodation to save bureaucratic face. After many decades of working in and with DoD, I tend to agree that govt entities hate to admit screw-ups and will rename things to skulk away in the dark if they can. IMHO the FDA will do something about the Triglyceride treatment issue with Vascepa but maintain their stance on the CV outcomes requirement. The question is if label expansion is potentially in the cards and is that enough to spark AMRN earnings until Reduce-it results.

  • SandRidge Energy: Panic Is Baseless [View article]
Buy back steals from Capex accounts and impacts the ability to grow production over the huge amount needed just to keep up with declines in the Miss Lime. Also
Nat Gas and NGL prices are a big variable affecting what I now feel are relatively high cost low return operations. Sold my SD last spring and dont feel any compulsion to
    view as an undervalued stock.

  • Pengrowth Energy: A 7% Yield With Long-Term Upside [View article]
IMHO there is a potential problem with the cost of nat. gas required to fire the SAGD
process and the resultant impact on production costs. Seems to me last years
cold winter sent a nat. gas price spike message and we are also entering an era of
nat gas export growth over the same time as the Lindberg project is ramping up.The wost possible case would be for nat gas price increases and heavy oil price decreases as more and more countries restore production. I am currently long PGH for a long time and not feeling very comfortable about these two issues.

  • Linn Energy: Who Got The Better Deal? [View article]
I try to ignore analysts and publications that have an ego invovlement from their
past failed predictions and are eagerly fomenting future disasters....Their past mis information is history and they are prejudiced in their future projections. Dont even look at Barron's articles anymore and Hedge eye in my opinion is a self serving rabble rouser that wants to rationalize their past failure.

  • Although Small, New Source Energy Partners LP Worth A Look [View article]
There is something "wrong" about Equal and its actions over the last few years have been driven by some CEO agenda that in my opinion resulted in
the strangly favored status of Petroquest. It would not surprise me to see Petroquest selling off some Equal assets in the future to reduce the cost burden they have acquired in the buyout. Your posts and contributions are
    always very helpful....Thank-you.

  • Linn Energy: Get Ready For Another Hedgeye Short Attack [View article]
I believe the large number of shares issued to Berry holders makes LNCO a
target for fomenting discontent and that is one of the incentives for this
continuing attempt to spin a discontent of those who did not overtly make a
decision to purchase their shares. It will only end when they can no longer elicit a response with their claims of doom.

  • Swift Energy's CEO Discusses Q1 2014 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
IMHO based on low float, high recent volatiliy, relatively low share price and the
propensity to affect trading during a potential qualitative event day SFY is a
prime candidate for algorythmic trading and tape manipulation. You have to really
add between the lines interpretations to get a negative take on the CC content which I have listened to twice and increased my position accordingly.

  • Equal Energy: Merger Drama Could Lead To Upside [View article]
IMHO the first order of business for the EQU BOD after the Petroflow arraingement
is out of the way is to aggressively reduce the massive G&A back to resoanable levels. The last 12mo financial report indicated the G&A grew by 49% to over 15 million in 2013. That appears outlandish for a company with 33 million in operating cash flow and in itself would provide funds for a significant reduction in outstanding shares.

  • Linn Energy: Making Sense Of The Recent Decline [View article]
It appears to me that a lot of ex-Berry shareholders became concerned about the
potential for devaluation of their newly minted LNCO shares and that fear
reached a "Tipping Point" which was enhanced by lots of gloom and doom expert
media noise over the last six months. My take is LYNN management will be up to
the challange of proving the foreces of darkness wrong.

  • Expect Continued Turmoil For Boardwalk Pipeline Partners [View article]
Something does not compute. Why take a meat axe to this years covered distribution to deal with projected possible decreases in income four to five years out? Too much Crystal Ball gazing leading to obvious devastation of the unit price which is the currency for MLP growth. IMHO there is some other more present problem which they are addressing to justify such destructive action. What is "The Rest of the Story"?
