  • Positioning For A Pullback [View article]
    From 2/12/13 Earnings Call:
Revenues grew 51% in Q4 compared to last year and 79% for fiscal year 2012 compared to 2011.

RKUS is gaining market share in two high growth markets:
-Service Provider Wifi: 57% annual growth from 2011-16 ($300M market to $2.8B)
-Enterprise Wifi: market growth from $3.5B to $7.0B by 2016.
The combined forecasted growth rate of these two markets is approx 21%...have any stats on RKUS market share gains? Their margins are also very high (over 60%) so earnings should outpace revenue. I hope stock hits 16 so I can buy some more at that value.

  • Can March's Hottest Small Caps Go Even Higher? [View article]
Have you been to the travelzoo website and looked at the local deals section? Your arguement that travelzoo will be hard pressed to grow revenues by 20% this year misses the fact that the local deals revenue grew by 1,000% from Q3 to Q4 2010 (review the seekingalpha TZOO earnings call transcript from Q4). Local deals has further ramped up this quarter and is "crushing it." The stock price may have gotten a little ahead of itself, but the company's fundamentals are better than you describe.

    Hey Long Value,

Are you still tracking the monthly deal and revenue estimates? Can you post an update at the end of this month for Jan Feb Mar? Any updates to your ideas/summary from a couple of months ago? I continue to be bullish even with the continued run up in the stock price.

  • Las Vegas Sands: Rolling Along at 53x Forward Earnings [View article]
Nasdaq 99 was fueled for the most part by future earning prospects of unprofitable companies? There were also many competitors (.com's) trying to grab market share that were all valued like they would be the market leader? LVS is profitable and is a market leader in Macao and Singapore...maybe more like a ".com" survivor of the Nasdaq crash? Casino Revenues up 73%, Room Revenues up 34%, Retail/Convention up 54% compared to last year and profitable.

Did you "miss the boat" or are you thinking LVS might still have more room to grow after they crushed earnings today? Let us know when/if you update your assumptions.

Earnings are an ok metric but should be looked at along with several other indicators of value...such as land holdings...land won't add to 2011 earnings but Sands controls a lot of it in Macao...Cotai Strip is quickly resembling the Las Vegas Strip (but larger) and will be largely controlled by Sands.

Growth in gambling revenues in Singapore is exceeding projections...and Sands only has one competitor (duopoly).

In any case, look for 2011 earnings to be revised upward.
