  • All That Glitters Is Gold
As the economy and stability of currencies becomes shaky across the globe, there is one area that remains predictable and stable and that’s gold. Of all the futures commodities for metals, gold is the only one that is up, and gold will likely rise as other currencies lose their strength.

Here are a few gold companies that we like.

$GOLD – that seems like an obvious one, right? In all seriousness, this is a good stock to look at. Up .38% today, and up $15 from just 3 months ago, there is still plenty of opportunity to get in on the dips.

$GG – Up .26% today, and also up $15 in the last three months, is showing that there’s a trend in gold…and that’s up.

$ABX up 1.38% and $AUY up .8% are also great ones to get into, as they are both on massive up swings.

And remember, if you follow me on twitter you would have seen me call these as good plays this morning. ;) @HotForStock

  • May Brings Spring Profits

ALL 4 of these companies have a dead line of May 17th, 2010 to file current financials or will be delisted from the OTCBB to the Pinksheets. All 4 companies have received the addition of (NYSE:E) to the end of there symbol for not filing on time. All 4 companies are having there financial requirements serviced by CHFIE. Previous stock handled and managed by CHFIE were ONP, UTA and GFRE. All were pinksheets that are now listed on higher exchanges, having share prices significantly higher then in previous years

ONP Current PPS $10.00 AMEX previously on the OTCBB

UTA Current PPS $9.40 NYSE previously on the OTCBB

GFRE Current PPS $10.35 Nasdaq prevoiusly on the OTCBB

Based on previous track record, CHFI files on the edge each time with all companies. Also has large holdings of stock in each of them.

BFARE was one of the companies that CHFIE was filing for. Take a look at what happened to the chart when they released their financials. This will likely happen to the following companies, so be sure to keep your eye on them.

Another favorite of our is JADAE – we’ve been talking about this one for a while. We lasted posted about it in Investors Feeling Jaded on JADA(E)? we mentioned to watch for a bounce. We’re calling it out now that we will see it before the deadline of the 17th!

We are also watching closely $CNOAE & of course $CHFIE is one to watch as well.

  • I'll take 3 to 1 on GMCR
After additional due diligence on $GMCR we are even more inclined to buy at this price. GMCR is going to be having another stock split having had one less than a year ago.

Shareholders of the Waterbury, Vermont-based company will receive two additional common shares for each share they already own. The shares will be distributed on July 27 to shareholders of record as of July 17.

A stock split reduces the share price by increasing the number of shares outstanding, and can make it easier for smaller investors to buy shares.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMCR) today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a three-for-one stock split to be effected in the form of a stock dividend.

The Company will distribute two additional shares of its common stock for every one share of common stock to all shareholders of record at the close of business on Monday, May 10, 2010. The shares will be distributed on Monday, May 17, 2010 by the Company’s transfer agent, Continental Stock Transfer, so that the new shares issued will equal three times the pre-split number. The Company’s common stock will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Monday, May 17, 2010 closing price divided by three.

    Read full press release here.

We think you can wait until the split happens and grab those shares while their cheap – if the market reacts how it did with the last split, they’ll bounce back up in no time; or you can act quickly and get in now and be a part of the transition. We’ll probably do a bit of both. We’re confident either move is good, after all, with this new acquisition there is more to the “bottom line”.
