  • Jamba Juice: Why Q2 (Company Store) Sales Don't Really Matter [View article]
Definitely an interesting read. I find this JambaGo offering to be quite interesting. First thing I thought of was a partnership with a large pharmacy chain(CVS or Walgreens). Though these units seem to take up a decent amount of space, they may be effective in drawing in customers. Anyways, thanks for the write-up!

  • Taser: Wearable Cameras May Revolutionize Policing [View article]
Excellent article. I expect the on-body camera solution to expand to the consumer market over the coming years and would encourage Taser to explore this opportunity, though, I also expect this space to get super competitive as similar offerings emerge from AAPL and others. Certainly a nascent market. VieVu, whose founder hails from Taser interestingly enough, has a competing product, though their pricing seems highly unfavorable vs. Axon Body. In any event, it looks like their annual revenues of 2.6m are only 1/4 of Taser's Axon/ offering. I was fortunate enough to pick up shares below 4 in 2011 and will continue to hold as the story continues to develop.

  • Emerging Health Food Company With Upside Potential [View article]
Do we have a material development here with the FDA approval of spirulina as a source of blue food coloring? I know it's already used in other parts of the world for this purpose, but wonder if Cyanotech could get in the game somehow now that the FDA has given the green light. Or is this more of a material development for the big manufacturers in India and Japan? Thoughts?

  • Skullcandy: The Shorts' Unfettered Greed And The Regulatory Environment That Breeds It [View article]
It would makes sense to go long a stock with a short interest this high if valuation was the main obstacle. But it's clear to everyone that the valuation metrics of this company look ridiculously cheap and yet the short interest remains incredibly high. That tells me something is VERY wrong with the company on some other level or at the very least it's definitely not a stock worth parking any of my money in. Longs, just sell it and move on or join the pool of unfortunate investors in ZAGG who never got that inevitable short squeeze that everyone thought was coming. It's not worth it.

  • Skullcandy: 43% Of The Outstanding Shares Short And The Clock Is Ticking [View article]
You fail to mention that over 10% of SKUL's sales come from BBY. You also fail to mention that Monster and Beats Audio will be dissolving their relationship at the end of 2012 and that Monster will be producing their own line of competing products after that time. I'm sorry but there's practically zero substance to this article, particularly the whole section "When the Shorts lose they lose big". I mean cmon. How is any of that relevant? Everyone knows what a short squeeze is and sure, a highly shorted stock that surprises positively will head much higher, but couldn't you have spent that amount of space providing new compelling evidence to suggest the shorts are wrong?

  • Organovo Shares Could Be Headed To $3 Per Share [View article]
Seeking Alpha can publish all the stories it wants pumping stocks, but at the end of the day, each person is responsible for deciding whether to buy or short. If an article isn't self serving then what's the point. This move in ONVO is just one of many ideas on SA that gets blown out of proportion because people just don't know better and they get drawn in by greed. Andrew says that "fundamentally ONVO doesn't add up". So my question is... Why didn't he mention that at the time in his original article or highlight some cautionary points???? Even at this level the valuation is absurd. Round and round we go... GLTA.

  • Mitek Systems: The Perfect Storm In Leading Edge Technology [View article]
While I'm a little hesitant to step into this name, I just have this feeling their imaging technology will have far greater applications beyond mobile payments and mobile banking. Certainly will be one to watch and for those with greater risk tolerance an idea worth nibbling at.
