Minor correction, CYTK was already on nasdaq (I was having a pre-senior moment, confusing it with (AHRO.OB)), but the share price was too low for many institutional investors. The RS gets them deeper into that game.

Funny quirk on google finance today, saying that CYTK is 343% institutionally owned. Schwab states they are 55% institutional.

    WT,

Consider yourself lucky if you were trading this one, because you did not lose a 6-bagger, you got out at the right moment for nice gain.

CYTK announced a 6:1 reverse split after the close yesterday afternoon, then this morning announced a partnership with another pinkie pharma, Astellas, to develop one of their pipeline compounds.

I got the text from Schwab yesterday afternoon about the RS, before it hit the news, and said WTF!?

I was up over 100% a couple of days ago as it popped to 2.20, but today I am only up 86% with the pullback.

The RS was authorized last quarter at a board meeting, but not announced until they had some good news to announce to get uplisted out of OTC status. They needed the RS to lower share count so they could continue funding their development by future dilutions, and to get onto NASDAQ.

CYTK is still an excellent long-term play in terms of the quality of novel drugs in pipeline, but the actual value dropped today slightly (2.6%) from yesterday after the RS, as one would expect when penny stocks do this.

You can watch for further pullback in the downdrafting market to get back in, and then take a profit on news later in the year as they announce results on the heart failure drug P3 study.

Yeah, I wondered about the plants, too. The daytime shot looks spring green in the grass, but I did not think the night shot could be compared meaningfully due to drastically different lighting and potentially different cameras used.

    Edmund,

The labeled date on the track 15 daytime picture is "5/2013." The nighttime pic on track 15 is dated "6/2013," and was posted 10 hours ago acording to FB.

There are no EXIF data embedded in the jpeg when downloaded, so no way to verify actual dates of the photos.

    Dr. Buiel's comment in APC#202:

"PbC batteries also benefit from being equalized. We found that after 100,000 miles if you could just charge the batteries for 36-48h continuously, then most of the capacity could be recovered as you break up sulfate on the positive electrode. Automobile companies wouldn't consider this but I bet the ePower truck could have such an option to just plug it in for a few days when the truck was down in maintenance or just off the road (weekend?). This could greatly extend the life."

After reading a bit more to get an understanding of this, an "equalization charge" is not a trickle voltage, but a higher than normal charge voltage, with the overcharging causing sulfates to break up, but tending to cook out the electrolyte, so not a good idea for VRLA type AGM batteries.

    HTL,

With respect to LiFePO4 battery temperature stability, this paper may shed some light:

My recollection of Dr. Buiel's discussion of the trickle charge refresh of PbC is that it took 36 hrs on a trickle charge to rejuvenate the DCA and power characteristics.

Opened a position in NovaBay (NBY) today as it dropped to 1.30.

I've been following this one for months and think the aganocide technology will turn out to be very useful and lucrative. Another sock drawer biotech that should do well with clinical results later this year.

    Any idea why?

It traded 10x the average volume today.

The company is touting phase II early results, but this is hardly new news, unless insiders have leaked something phenomenal.
