I don't understand the taxes on a Roth, I thought the Roth account was tax Exempt? I will look into changing to LNCO and buying KMI. Thx for the thoughts.

I have owned NMM and LINE in my IRA Roth acct. I think the tax problems are not there in a Roth acct. I like the distributions plus the price gains tax free. It seems that is the way to go.

There has been a big change in management attitude to hold down cost. They are definitely commited to be steady and cost deliberate for the future. I have taken a beating with some shares as many have, and I have added on shares on this retreat and am in for the future to see this stock turn around. Nat gas has a future and WPRT will lead in the conversion race!

  • Clean Energy Fuels: Down But Not Out [View article]
Unfortunately I invested and held on to CLNE and WPRT stocks way too early and am underwater with both. Should have stopped out lately, but both stocks are so volatile that when I did stopped out early, I missed previous gains and now I have held on for losses. I am hopeful this and many other articles tell me I'll be OK in the future. I am a believer, but every day with more losses, my gut is tightening.

  • Will Tesla Upset Westport's Growth Strategy? [View article]
I am another WPRT investor who got in way too early for this stock and I thought the management was a lot more farther along than they are at the present. I do believe that there is a market for heavy trucks and big equipment with NG. The Tesla idea is way too much subsidized by Obumer's idea that "solar energy will rule". Solar is not economically feasible with out our huge debted nation subsidies. That economic plan is a loser. WPRT is a winner with economics over a solar non proven idea. I'm buying more WPRT on this dip. Staying hopeful while underwater!

EGLE sounds like it should be a buy with the big drop in price. According to management, the future looks so bright! I lost my ass from this report. I am not selling, I'm going to hang on.

  • Natural Gas And Commercial Transportation: States Act While Feds Mull [View article]
Thanks for your efforts to promote NG as a transportation economical answer as well a lesser poluting fossil fuel. WPRT and CMI should win out and as an investor, I will have to be patient. I believe things will turn out for the good , but I'm frustrated as many for the political holdup by Obama and his tree huggers! Still no national policy for energy????

  • Westport Innovations' CEO Discusses Q4 2012 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
I thought the CFO did a great and informative job. They seem to be in a lot of differnt markets, but they have the R&D to deliver. The price for engines may be somewhat high, but trucks make money for companies and they need to operate with lower cost which NG offers. I think great things can evolve with WPRT.

Looks like there is no quick turnaround for the shipping industry any time soon. I think NAT has thier long range goals to do what ever to stay in business for a long time. They have made tough choices. NAT will survive, but no growth for more than a year or longer.

  • The worst commodity shipping market in 26 years may persist next year as an oversupply of vessels continues to curb ship owners’ ability to boost charter rates, according to shipbroker Clarkson. Dry bulk shipping rates have plunged 71% since Nov. 28, with both capesize and panamax shipping rates declining for 16 straight days. Baltic Dry index -58.5% YTD. [View news story]
This sector is so damaged by oversupply of ships it will definitley be many years before day rates get back to making money and raise the profit margins. Way too many ships that were ordered during the boom times, and they came into service with no demand and low shipping rates. I've felt a lot of pain with Paragon and Dryships!
