Self-employed, Landlord, Independent Investor, I started investing in 1990 The first company I bought was Akzo Nobel We use their materials for painting cars in my auto-body shop. Most of my core stocks these days are DGI I diversify in every sector with a few stocks in each. Most stocks in my portfolio have to maintain or increase their dividend to stay. I look for new Investments daily to keep in tune with trends that present themselves. My investment style is if there is a stock I'm interested in. I usually buy in 10% to 25% of what i want to own. Then as opportunity presents itself, meaning down day. Ex date drop in price. Unusual activity in the stock, short term bad news. I sell when there is unusual activity in a stock also, Like extreme daily highs or if the stock gets to be too high of a percentage in my portfolio. I'm always open to new ideas and willing to tweek my portfolio and i am truly greatful for all the ideas this site has to offer. Options are my next endevor. I have traded them well so far but i do not trade them often. My goal is to use them to pump up my dividend return safely.
