  • General Electric (GE) Q3 2014 Results - Earnings Call Webcast [View article]
The real problem for GE is that there will be so many disgruntled investors unlike myself who did not buy the stock at $25.00.

  • Briefly On Pfizer: It's Time To Buy [View article]
Remember that at the turn of the century, speculators bought properties on the Lower East Side of New York for a penny on the dollar. I firmly believe we are headed much lower in the stock market and at this point and juncture in my life and the lives of my family I want my major position, PFE in cash. I am retaining GE because after much introspection, I feel that I will make money in the conglomerate under any contributing circumstances.

How many of the commentators in response are senior citizens on social security and working two jobs to support a family?. How many respondents have long time horizons? I do not have that luxury.

I think you have to take into account that proverbial highly capitalized and wieldy slow growers in past years are going to go much lower in the event the bubble actually bursts. I will feverishly put my position back in PFE and my dollar amount with profit will not change. Maybe at a future date I can catch the stock on an upward spiral for many years to come. At 63 years old and working two jobs, I do not want a repeat of what I endured when I first retired in 2007.

  • Briefly On Pfizer: It's Time To Buy [View article]
I have held a position in PFE for many years now and have only positive and refreshing reasons for doing so. When I saw the close on the Dow today, I took my profits and principal and stashed it all in my money market. Dow components usually go with the market and this one in my view is way too high to sustain without a substantial correction(s). I retained GE but as far as PFE, I plan a complete buyback at the low.

  • Best S&P 500 Stocks According To Shareholder Yield: Pfizer [View article]
I would like to tread water with the money PFE has in the bank just for R&D. Most armchair analysts are down on the stock for growth anyway. Like they say at the track, did you talk to the horses?

I have been highly enthusiastic about PFE for years now and expressed my zeal on this site. PFE has transcended from a dividend stock into a value stock and may one day become a solid growth equity. The possibility of a lottery drug always exists.

I will be the contrarian and say thst I have been waiting for PFE to come up with that "lottery" drug which will transform the behemoth slow grower into a retirement vehicle. I am planning to add to my position in PFE and get paid while I do so.

  • Fluor: A Solid Large Cap With Big Appreciation Potential [View article]
I have owned Fluor for many years because in my view they are ultra multi faceted in the infrastructure vertical market. It is kind of like owning 3M, a varied product line with great brand. China might need FLR one day, who knows. I heard that FLR is involved with the crumbling infrastructure of New York City. Also, it is really selling at a high price now , maybe a candidate for a split with unlimited potential.

  • What Will Pfizer's Dividend Do Over The Next 5 Years? [View article]
It is not so much what they did, my comment was based on what PFE might conceivably do in the future. I invest always based on future earnings that I expect.

  • Recent Moves By Pfizer Management: No Big Deal Or Telegraphing A Sell-Off? [View article]
I find that much of this article is pure speculation. I would not spend time worrying about a corporation the size of PFE "breaking up" like Sonny and Cher or similar. An old adage from my days working for Dow corporations surrounded the fact that no one is indispensable. I am sure the new hiree is competent and thoroughly vetted. PFE continues and will continue for the long term to be my strongest position.

  • What Will Pfizer's Dividend Do Over The Next 5 Years? [View article]
I hold my strongest position in PFE. Nice dividend with upside surety if that is permissible to say and an outside chance with strong R and D to develop that "lottery" pharmaceutical that investors are hoping for.
