  • Has Gilead Priced Sovaldi Too High? [View article]
Hepliver's comments are most often founded on his opinion and not on sound scientific and most certainly not on any free enterprise business model... I also am astounded at his lack of any content worth reading.. SA, in my opinion, by allowing him to post, is bringing down the quality of the discussions and as such, anytime Hepliver posts .. I leave the article.. not worth my time .. Thanks CSYJ

  • Gilead: More Good News For This Biotech Juggernaut [View article]
I only own stock and do not play in the option market.. I hold only quality well researched stocks and as such, I sleep very well and never worry about the short term... that is not to say options could not enhance my returns etc, but I prefer to put real money to work in real stocks that I own and I also do not use margin to prevent short term hick ups from bothering my long term thesis on the stock or stocks in question ... I have taken some big single losses in NT and POT but in the end, we are all prey to the market at times... Good luck investing

And your strategic strategy.. hitting singles, you will take a very long time to accumulate a lot of money.. It takes courage to put your money down on a well researched company .. and then I swing for the fence believing your choice will at least double.. Gilead is a complete swing for the fences average is in the low 70's and as Brett says.. you will have to pry the stock from my fingers... at $200! I have a lot of ground to make up after the 2007 - 09 disaster so there will be no bunting for me... good luck!

Amen Bret.. the article you referenced was written by a buffoon and a complete piece of trash.. I believe it hit $99 earlier today and it should be great to see if it closes above that value tonight... 12X forward at $8.00 with a 200% net gain and revenues exploding? Sounds like a STRONG BUY BUY BUY to me Thanks again for taking on the numbskulls that either post or comment so egregiously on SA about GILD.

  • Yes, Me Worry [View article]
Doom Gloom and Fear... none of these are motivators for me to change my portfolio that is 95% invested ... Great companies like BX, GILD, AAL and GST all reported well, and as I am not a market timer... buy great companies with strong balance sheets and as time has proven.. time in the market is more important than timing of the market. Brett is thoughtful and well reasoned, but our difference is I do not quake at rumblings.. but closely watch the bottom line.. and those with mountains of cash, improving debt and great products are those companies I have invested in for the next 30 years.. Brett, I have just added more to me F position as despite the recall, I can see F at $22 by April unless, Russia invades Germany and Americans vote for another Democratic President.. Politics in our country is the worst fear I have... Have a great day all and watch GILD hit 98 today

It was standard reading in the 60's along with the Beach Boys, Beatles and Motown... what a great time to have been a teen.. the death of President Kennedy, the Cuban missile crisis, Vietnam, bomb shelters, race riots .. check out the Mad Magazines from the 60's lots of fodder for satire!

  • Gilead Sciences Looks Like A Contrarian Short [View article]
What are you smoking.. all the good news is already priced in? Are you on mind altering drugs... Please do not post again on GILD as you obviously do not know anything about the company or the incredible opportunity that is right in front of your nose... Short all the way.. and we will see you cover as it hits $115 by Christmas and goodness knows what 2015 Christmas will bring.. perhaps $150 - $165

Thanks Brett... bought more GILD, BX and GST today... I had some cash.. roughly 20% but when the market sold off GILD I could not resist ...HUGE position for me weighting of 75% of portfolio and I sold CELG to buy more.. I love GILD management, conservative estimates and sound money management.. the buy bay back is huge and if you back off the institutional investment, the buy back can almost wipe out the balance of shares available.. we can hold cold hands together.. have a great day!

You could give Obama a century and he still could not see the forest for the trees.. Oh wait, yes he can, they are lining the fairways of his favourite golf course.. I have ZERO respect for this jester...the American people deserve better than this fool

So Bret, are you suggesting I sell my stake in GILD and go to cash? Isn't GILD better than cash that pays almost nothing? I do not rely on my portfolio for income.. GILD is a long term investment like, BX and AAL all of which I have great entry points.. I think BX is grossly undervalued and the gas purchase announced yesterday is amazing.. the market always gives us bumps and bruises but I am not one to abandon the ship due to rough seas... Your thoughts are appreciated

  • Gilead to price Sovaldi at $900 in India [View news story]
Your sarcasm was noted and not appreciated.. A company has the right to sell its products at whatever level they want.. and if you do not like it.. DO NOT buy the product .. pricing is so much cheaper to cure than attempt at maintaining a life that is in terror with the disease... Call it what you may, but we live in a FREE MARKET and you choose what you buy.. not everyone can afford a Lincoln, does that mean Ford should lower their pricing so all can drive the Lincoln.. I think not... To all you bleeding hearts, grow a pair or move to Egypt / India and enjoy the experience
