  • Gilead Buying Vertex? What's The Use? [View article]
agreed. there is no value in it for GILD .. the analyst is drinking some very bad wine! This stock GILD should be at $125 so the SALE continues.. but hopefully April 30th will start to turn the tide!

  • Gilead Sciences Reminds Me Of Apple Circa June 2013 [View article]
I too follow the strong cash performers... and GILD is a whopper with FCF in the stratosphere and management that knows how to take advantage of all that sweet green... I am loaded up and over the wheelbarrow on this one... Love GILD and I am patient... but this will go much higher and April 30th could be the day it starts!

  • Harvoni Continues To Dominate Hep C Market, Market Continues To Undervalue Gilead [View article]
Seriously? JHH.. I think it is time for you to go back to school and learn this time... History is one of the biggest predictors of the future.. and GILD management has so many bullets that are up and coming, I do not know how anyone could say they have one more good year? Yikes, that is precisely why I gave up teaching undergrads.. please do your DD look at the pipeline and remember a bird in the hand is always better than one in the bush... April 30th should be a reason to celebrate .. the numbers will be blow out!

why such a long time frame ..Gaolkick9, you always seem so dour and the FCF on this beast should be enough to get investors blood pressure pumping... If, there is a 2 or 3 for one split this puppy could motor...

  • Kessler: Glory days of P-E are over [View news story]
WOW.. you have such a low opinion of PE firms .. I can only say that I take the very opposite point of view with interest rates being the fuel for the investments and the long term increase in both interest rates and vale seem to squarely favour those who invest today. Without a diatribe, I think you can rethink your premise as Drew alluded to and come up with a very different conclusion. I like BX management and I recommend the purchase of BX based on the metrics .. they are smart investors and will continue to find value plays that will enhance investor returns.. Just raised my expectations for BX to $46 and then there is that dividend! Good luck all!

  • Wall Street Breakfast: White House To Unveil Fracking Rules [View article]
We have enough natural gas for at least 100 to 200 years depending on who is doing the math and that does not include scientific advances.. so we are not running out of fossil fuels.. we need to adopt NG for cars and rework American infrastructure to provide NG for trucks and cars travelling the nation's highways...Clean Environmentally Friendly and Plentiful!

Please... and what accreditation do you have for issuing such nonsense? Federal over reach is every where and this is a States Rights issue... again Abama the Viper is trying to control the States and like Arizona... there is going to be a severe backlash with legislation that states " if Congress does not pass and the Senate approve" no State will be required to follow anything from the Snake's mouth from the Washington Den of Thieves! The EPA ha gone to far and I trust it will be disbanded entirely after 2016 and new guidelines would be issued for States to consider .. This is a Republic not a Dictatorship .. Oh yes, and I have a Masters in limnology so yes.. I have environmental concerns but not at the cost of American energy independence and scientific advances.. Your attitude would have us still burning wood or coal...

  • A No-Nonsense Projection Of Gilead In 2015 [View article]
Okay... I admit, I have been treading water with this stock and I have well over 7 figures invested in it... That said, I am a numbers person and the numbers keep on telling me the market is not reading the company right and eventually this stock will explode to even the average market multiple of 15 - 17 thus I will be able to buy another NY Condo and grow my real estate holdings... Be patient.. the other large position I have is Apple and that one has had its challenges too, but we are up big time now and expect $140 -160 on this one. My other top pick is BX which we bought when it was a 7% yield and now it is up 50% on ACB plus there is the reinvested dividend... All horses do not run at the same time so for me, I am waiting for the market to wake up and I intend to smile broadly when we cross over to the $150 - $175 range.. I love those script numbers keep them coming!

Love your humour, but when your Company is listed by the IRS for revenue evasion.. do not call me .. as to you Blue Ice... a BIG SMILE & HUG.. Not everyone shares that benefit :-)

Tax avoidance is not a good thing for the citizens of America... or any other country. Corporations have to bear their fair share of the tax burden .. that said, tax minimization is completely within the framework of good financial management. As a financial officer, I always recommend the company pay their fair share and stop with the tax avoidance schemes which in the end will always bite the Company and their shareholders... America needs tax revenues.. fair ones so I also think flat tax would obviate so much of the need for the IRA... Less Government, Less Taxes and a balanced budget... we need to start living within our means.. not this Abama fantasy world

  • Going Overweight With Gilead In My DGI Portfolio [View article]
JDK: I have a great deal of empathy for your comment but the fact remains.. The world is in a very dangerous place and war ( s ) could break out everywhere at anytime.. So the first thing for you to do is evaluate whether you can withstand the possible crumbling of the investments..My maxim is - Never invest money that you can not afford to lose in its entirety .. Once that is settled the rest is the same dilemma that all of us have.. picking the right equities with the right risk profile (Beta) etc.. FOR me, GILD is a 7 figure investment I have come to rest in this decision based on the management, FCF, EPS, Beta, and finally their pipeline which is incredibly broad and full of potential! Good luck with the decision on whether to invest..
