  • Oklahoma drilling regulator calls recent spike in quakes a "game changer" [View news story]
    @Jake Blues,

    There are always (constantly) seismic waves over the entire Earth. So you are right suggesting it is "happening". The question is at what level is there a problem. So tell us more about what level is okay and what is not.

  • Glaukos IPO: A Great Valuation For A Commercial Stage Medical Device Company [View article]
    APBK Capital,

    Do you think Glaukos is a "Great Value" with it priced at $18, above the $16-17 original price range?

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Brian,

    You have a lot of nerve coming back here and making that trivial correction. Tim Plaehn, User 12839421 and several others have torn your article to shreds and you have not replied to them. Go back and read Tim Plaehn's and User 12839421's arguments and address them. I dare you!!

    @ Donald Johnson, Are you serious? Try reading User 12839421 a few lines below. User 12839421 rips apart Brian Nelson's analysis from a different perspective. I'm glad you are out of KMI and hope you stay out. But, I'd like to hear your defense of Nelson after reading User 12839421's analysis. Unreal!!!

    @ Donald Johnson, Please read the comments from Tim Plaehn, gawilley, NC Investor, oysters, Corp Raider directly above. Since Brian does not defend his articles and you are his champion, read and digest those comments and respond for Brian. Read Tim Plaehn specifically and tell us all why Tim is wrong and Brian is correct. Instead of telling us what a great analyst Brian is and how he led the charge, address Tim Plaehn's comment.

  • Why We're Dumping Kinder Morgan Right Now [View article]
    lsuavecito, I think every one you mentioned is an MLP. Some of us are looking for midstream and income, but do not want the hassle of having an MLP in an IRA account. Steve R. gave the best retort. I'll use the pullback to add KMI to my IRA accounts.

  • Chesapeake hits 52-week low amid biggest natural gas surplus in 12 years [View news story]
    johnwayne888, I'm not Mr. Shirley, but I signed the oil and gas lease for the agreement on July 7, 2010 associated with Shirley 5H. My records indicate that I received a check for production from the month of Nov 2010. They were considerably larger back then. I live out of state so I really have no idea about offsetting or other planned wells.

    So, johnwayne888, since you present yourself as an expert, help me understand if I'm reading this site correctly. http://bit.ly/1MNrMqL;muni_id= It seems the Shirley 5H Well in Terry Township, Bradford County, PA is listed in the Record setting well information table as the number 3 highest producing well in the entire state of Pennsylvania. johnwayne888 am I reading that correctly that the well has produced 12,032,675 mcf through June 6th, 2015? I knew after looking at the maps in the geological studies and discussing this with my cousin with the advance geology degree that this should be a high producer, but I need your expertise in assessing the situation. So do you think the well would be economical for CHK to spend capital on today?

    johnwayne888, You don't have much of a profile on SA. How will I know how legitimate the information you are providing is? Why haven't you filled out the profile info? My initial comment was with ckarabin when he referenced his $1-1.50/mcf. But just for grins, it is the Shirley 5H Well in Terry Township, Bradford County, PA. Please provide some links to your sources. I'll be interested to see if it is a stellar well whether you will present the facts. As for whether it is "economic", I know it is economic to me.

  • Chesapeake hits 52-week low amid biggest natural gas surplus in 12 years [View news story]
    @johnwayne888, The total expenses were roughly 34% against the sales price. I've looked at the geological studies in this area and ran them past a relative that has an advance degree in geology. I'm not sure you have enough knowledge of this well, so you had to caveat your statements with "I think....." and "Depending on where you are located...." and "I would say...". Talk is cheap on these boards when you can premise your statement with all these caveats.

    @ckarabin,

    I guess I wonder why you initially put $1-$1.50 per mcf when your latest statement is $1.61 or less. My property is part of a well that covers roughly 1000 acres. For the most recent month reported the nat gas for the 1000 acres was sold at $2.396/mcf. Guess I'm not familiar with your "widely reported", but my income statement from CHK is clear.

    @johnwayne888 I was responding to ckarabin'a quote "Marcellus producers are getting only $1-$1.50 per mcf!" That is referring to what CHK gets in the market place. Of course, they have "Gathering, transport, processing, marketing fee" expenses. I still got a check, so there was a profit from my perspective. Are you disputing that CHK made a profit on the sale of their portion of the nat gas from my property?
