  • Chicago Bridge responds to attack [View news story]
Short sellers often have a legitimate case. Not all businesses are operating on the up and up. I can remember off the top of my head several instances when the short sellers were right and the long writers were the ones that were wrong.

Remember when GeoInvesting released that damning report on Longwei Petroleum? They weren't wrong.

Remember when Galena was caught doing stock promotion?

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
How does this have anything to do with the stock market or investing? Or anything to do with the original article? Thank you for spewing your pointless rhetoric.

Also, at no point did the Senate report conclude that there was a cover-up. They concluded that our government's incompetence got those 4 Americans killed. And that Clinton was culpable for that incompetence. Which is what we've known the entire time.

  • T-Mobile might take aim at termination fees, pressure AT&T/Verizon's margins [View news story]
Here in North New Jersey and in NYC, Sprint has absolutely atrocious service. My Neighbors and co-workers with T-mobile, on the other hand, have immaculate coverage.

  • Yahoo reportedly eying image-hosting platform Imgur [View news story]
Aww man... I love imgur... That "edgy and offbeat material" is definitely doomed the moment imgur goes corporate.

Definitely an interesting acquisition by Yahoo in the meantime though.

  • Which Is Best: DRIP Or Collect And Invest? [View article]
Works well for me. I only get a grand or so a year in dividends, not enough to justify paying a commission for collecting/investing. Every month or so, I change which one of my holdings gets 100% of my dividends. Basically, whichever one I consider most undervalued.

    Easy.

  • T-Mobile USA prices stock offering at $25, shares drop [View news story]
Really like their pricing plans as a potential customer. Tempted by their growth in market share to invest. Seems like a good buy-low opportunity coming soon?

And the funny thing is, if you're going just by battery life degradation, iPhones should technically have the worst resale value.

For all those unaware, since it seems that most SA readers are stodgy and humorless folk, the referenced site is a satirical news service similar to the Onion.

  • Precious metals tumble [View news story]
Is now the time to mention that Avi Gilbert called the drop this past weekend? Every time, people scream "MANIPULATION" and I imagine Avi diving into a vault of gold and silver coins like Scrooge McDuck.

  • Who To Believe About Obamacare And The Workforce: The Oval Office Or The Corner Office? [View article]
I don't necessarily see how 8% growth on the year by a staffing agency necessarily means that firms are only hiring part-time workers. The big money for these kinds of companies is in temp-to-full workers.

I see a correlation, not causation.

Regardless, riding the wave on RHI.
