It was RIM , you and Andreas Hopf are probably on the payroll by apple since all you have done during the past 12 month is write negative comments . My best friend, and the biggest apple fan boy just switched to Z30 , he tells me every day for the past week, how great the Z30 is , and how much better it is than Iphone 5

  • BlackBerry: Is Prem Watsa Really Interested In Taking It Private? [View article]
I was also in the same situation in January, I was optimistic, but in 8 months, I only met ONE person who had a Q10, But many many people with the old bb phones, and 10 times more people with Iphones. I guess nobody wants bb anymore. I still love the bb 10 though and don't want anything else, but I am sick and tired of apple users bashing on me and making comments about my blackberry.

I totally agree, I just bought a z10 just to have as a spare because it costs under 300 Pounds on amazon. And I am sure the sold plenty of them at that price, as there are a lot more positive reviews. If they priced them at that price from the start, they wouldn't make any money on them, but they would penetrate the market, and people would realise how great the OS is. I would suggest selling all that stock of z10's for 100 usd per device, People would buy them, realise how good they are

  • Baird: BlackBerry burned through $1/share in cash in FQ2 [View news story]
Blackberrys biggest mistake, was to listen to QNX people and not to their own staff. Everybody was against Adobe designing the user interface, but the management didn't listen to their key people, and wasted a lot of time, time which they didn't have, because the playbook was ready now almost 2 years ago, they could have built the phones the same way, but no, they went with adobe, all the key people left because of that decision, the project was then scrapped and they lost more than a year. They don't have any good developers left, they are all long gone to samsung google and apple. I was LONG, I had hope, but I sold my position some time ago, as I didn't believe them any more. I travel a lot, and to be hones with you guys, I have until now, since January, only met 1 person who had a Q10, only one. I am sorry blackberry, I am still a fan, and a user, and I love the phones, but your marketing sucks, you don't have any customer support, you have been un-loyal to your fans, and your are going down now, and it's all your fault. Actually I am not even sorry for you, it was your bad management decisions, I am sorry for MY loss on your stocks, because I was stupid enough to believe, especially after reading many of Lyogis positive comments. ( I did order the Z30, let's see how good that device is)

  • There Is Something Interesting Happening With BlackBerry Usage In North America [View article]
I would say yes to the comment regarding the browser. On BB7 it was and is awful and I almost never used it, only for emergencies, where now on bb10 it's so good that I use it sometimes more than on my computer or iPad. Maybe that is why there is an increase. But this would also mean that more and more old BlackBerry users are converting to BlackBerry 10

  • BlackBerry (BBRY -0.1%) roundup: 1) The WSJ reports David Smith, the exec responsible for the PlayBook, has left the company. The report comes shortly after news the PlayBook won't be updated to support BB10. Thorsten Heins has suggested BlackBerry won't launch new tablets, and instead focus on developing BB10 phones that can be docked with PC/tablet peripherals. Bloomberg recently reported BlackBerry is expecting a pickup in executive departures. 2) A video showing off the A10 has been leaked. Specs were leaked last week. 3) Noting the Q5's high unsubsidized price ($397 in Indonesia), Tero Kuittinen argues BlackBerry badly needs to release cheaper BB10 phones to avoid losing its emerging markets base to ~$100 Android phones. [View news story]
I am no expert on the stock market, but I can say that as a BlackBerry user I was disappointed about the playbook not being updated but not that I wanted another device because of that. Playbook is fine as it is. BlackBerry will have a problem soon because of Ios 7. It will be released in a few months and as far as I understand, apple has copied a few swipes and functions from BlackBerry. When apple users get the release then there is no point for them changing to BlackBerry. A user doesn't care about micro kernels and other technical stuff.
