  • GameStop: Trials And Tribulations [View article]
Unfortunately, this very recent rise in GME has put me in the red right now on my short. Long term I think it's a short and I don't have a problem holding onto it because eventually it will slip down. These short term analysts have been infuriating though.

  • Is GameStop The Next Blockbuster Video? [View article]
I agree... long term outlook is grim, but it will take a while. Broadband hasn't reached everyone yet. also downloading and streaming games take so much more bandwidth than video. So the console digital option isn't optimal yet. Also if BBY had a hard time getting into used games, how can we trust WMT can?

Also, after a poor ER and news on WMT, why has the stock popped higher?

  • GameStop's view on profits disappoints, shares -12.7% [View news story]
I made the mistake of shorting too early last summer . But held on and never covered because I knew today would happen eventually. Your articles helped keep me sane and kept me optimistic.

  • Tremendous Upside Potential On A THQ Bet [View article]
I invested heavily back in the Spring @0.57. I too made the mistake of looking at their assets and games, hoping things turn around. I decided to go long, even after the reverse split in the summer. Yesterday was the worst day I've ever had. Took a big chance, and got incinerated. Like I said, I went heavy. I've lost so much that selling at this point would be a joke. We're headed into OTS territory next year. I have to decide whether or not to sell before the 28th and cut my massive losses for a tax write-off or just ride this thing out and hope for a better outcome. It may be naive, but recouping very little of a big investment doesn't help the hurt. A potential shareholder lawsuit is something to think of, but even with that, what chance do we have at getting anything at all? Probably futile. And if they decide to re-issue the stock months from now, then I will feel like Captain Smith on the Titanic.
