  • Seadrill sinks as Credit Suisse downgrades, cuts target to $30 from $40 [View news story]
Got to believe buyers step in "bigtime" before we see 13% yield!

    I will add at $32.00 = 12.25%

  • A Closer Look At North Atlantic Drilling's Opportunity In The Arctic [View article]
NADL will also benefit from the recent UK "Wood Report" and its recommendations that will attempt to increase the production of North Sea oil and gas. PM David Cameron fully supports and just yesterday (I believe) the UK announced "tax breaks" for HTHP wells in the North Sea. I am long NADL and believe we will see a nice steady share price increase and a nice dividend to boot!!

My 2-year weekly charts for Brent and WTI do not show "pressure on oil prices".

  • Pacific Drilling: Set For A Big 2014 And 2015 [View article]
Not a major fly in the ointment but ------ the 2/3/14 Fleet Status Report shows a slight delay in the expected delivery date and/or the expected start date for both Sharav and Meltem. A slight delay - but none the less - a delay. Time = $.

  • Credit Suisse likes Noble Energy, Rowan among offshore drillers [View news story]
RDC is at a nice discount - but I think $30 to $31 is the sweet spot to enter. Also, in the 3Q conference call last November the CEO said they are going to the Board in January (2014) with a recommendation for the dividend reinstating - but it will start small.

  • Start-Up Of Tungsten Explorer To Double Vantage Drilling's Cash Flow [View article]
Don't forget that Tungsten completed its first contract in 48 days (was scheduled for 90 days). This accelerated the mob fee!! It also allowed the next customer to add a 4th well to its program (it was originally scheduled for 3 wells). All-in-all Tungsten is serving VTG very well and Q4 should be lights out!!!

  • Seadrill: The Future Is Bright For This Driller [View article]
Here is the real deal. If SDRL and its peers ordered UDW ships for delivery in 2014, they ordered in 2012, i.e. it takes the shipyard about 2 years to build and deliver a $600 million drillship. Day rates back then were approx. $450,000. Today they are $550,000 to $600,000 and these guys are rolling in cash flow. Every drilling CEO out there will tell you they love the economics (return) of the 4 to 5 year payback. These same CEO's would gladly sign a drilling contract for a drillship at a $500,000 dayrate. Mr. Market seems to demand ever increasing dayrates and then bad mouth the industry when they do not get there way. I love the current buying opportunity. Many can't see the ocean for the waves!

  • Changes To Market Currents: What We've Done, And Why [View article]
Would you consider playing around with the color of the Ticker Symbols? The current light blue does stand out some, but it is not that bold to me. Could you BOLD the ticker symbol print? or try another color????
