  • Early iPad Air usage/activation data positive [View news story]
The bi-product of all the Apple diehards buying the new iPad Air is that their ipad 4, 3, 2 goes to the mother, sister, aunt, brother, uncle, daughter, son, grandmother, grandfather, co-worker, neighbour, Craigslist or even an analyst or 2. More diehards on the way.

Invest in replacement batteries for old - but not dead iPads.

  • Don't Go Apple Picking Yet [View article]
    Reality check.
9 million iPhones sold in 3 days!
Had to be in inventory to sell them.
Had to be manufactured to be in inventory.
Had to be shipped to be sold.
All parts had to assembled by the greatest logistics system ever created.
Somebody believes, even though you have no clue.

  • Android Is Either 'Winning' Because Apple Is Letting It, Or Losing [View article]
Another Apple fanboy with facts showing the reality of iPhone sales in the US. This is dangerous information. It goes against all the other information being supplied by the other Android, Rim, Nokia, Samsung and Microsoft smart phone suppliers.

    Could it be true?

    Of course not!

Is Apple really that far ahead?

    Of course not!

  • Apple (AAPL +3.4%) is rebounding with the market (and then some) on the back of bullish analyst commentary (I, II). Cowen's Matthew Hoffman is joining the fun by suggesting FQ2 iPhone sales could be 4M-6M units above his forecast of 32M, which itself is above a consensus of 30.5M, thanks to strong international demand. However, he's only forecasting 28M FQ3 iPhone shipments, as demand slows ahead of a new launch.  [View news story]
Can it regain it's year high before earnings next week?

  • Think your Mac is impervious to viruses? Maybe not, as more than a half-million computers running Apple's (AAPL) Mac OS X software computers were hit by a hacking attack, claims Russian anti-virus firm Dr. Web. “This once again refutes claims by some experts that there are no cyber-threats to Mac OS X,” Dr. Web's blog says.  [View news story]
I am a Mac user for almost 3 decades without virus and malware problems since OS X showed up at the turn of the century... and how would you know if you have been hacked? It is not a common problem in the Mac community and the 500,000 may not know that they have been hacked. And if they have, how would one fix the problem?
