They got SYNM cheap. The patents of SYNM and technical expertise acquired will benefit REGI well into the future.

Possibly the stock price is falling still because of linkage to the reduced incentives in Washington for biofuel. SZYM is much more than biofuels.

This issue may have been addressed earlier, but when I see all the insider sales, that gives me a great deal of hesitation. Any thoughts regarding the insider selling?

Yo John, Congratulations on your new job. Trust it will go well. It was interesting reading about the super high diesel prices in Europe. Couple that with the environmental sensitivities and I would think demand for ePower trucks would be very strong there. Glad to hear you will still be sharing your insight and comments from time to time.

TG stated there would be significant sales on the last
telephone conference and, from what I have read here, repeated that assertion during Investor's Day. Would these sales be recurring in the future beyond the upcoming quarter end while we wait for the major deals with BMW and NS to get rolling (along with an Asian automaker dancing in the shadows and, hopefully, a deal or two we are not aware of). AXPW is involved in producing batteries for a third party and generating revenue that way. Is there any other contracting work available? What is the time table for ePower to start making significant purchases? Cash flow is the name of the game while trying to survive. Was there any information at the Investor's Day that would provide information regarding any of these issues?

BTU management needs to think outside the box and take a serious look at coal-to-liquids or coal-to-gas. There was an excellent article by Mook on Seeking Alpha regarding these possibilities.

Maybe JP can make the referral to Tom Granville regarding Charles Barnhart? Previously JP made the referral to ePOWER regarding Axion. JP knows Tom and is aware that Axion would like to break into California's Energy Storage Mandate business. I think we need to be proactive here and not hope that Dr. Barnhart gets in touch with Axion and the contact is handled appropriately by Axion.

Very good idea, danpm4life. I hope some Axionista going to the Investor's day will bring it up with the folks at Axion.

Scientists Calculate the Energy Required to Store Wind and Solar Power On the Grid

Sep. 9, 2013 — Renewable energy holds the promise of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. But there are times when solar and wind farms generate more electricity than is needed by consumers. Storing that surplus energy in batteries for later use seems like an obvious solution, but a new study from Stanford University suggests that might not always be the case.
