  • iPhone Inventory Build Bodes Ill For Apple Stock  [View article]
    To Whom it May Concern:

Please accept my resignation as an SA Apple Fanboy. No, I am not selling the the stock I hold in this great company. No, I am not moving over to the bear side of the aisle. And most of all, I am not finally siding with the esteemed author of this article. I'm only posting my resignation here because:
    A. The high traffic will insure greater readership.
    B. The symbolism of using a Michael Blair article to do this is deafening.
I'm frustrated at trying to "straighten out the bears around here." It's tiring and lately, quite depressing seeing how these broken clocks around here are finally right (for a while). I have officially designated my Apple holdings as a core stock, right alongside my Exxon and AT&T. I promised my wife that I wouldn't be held in servitude to SA and CNBC any longer. I'd never anymore kick my granddaughter off Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger so I could "see how our Apple's doing." I'll also not be up until the wee hours of the morning commenting on SA articles or checking my previous comments. The investment value of this place is lessening by the day it seems anyway. It's becoming more of a spitting contest (to put it tastefully) than the place I used to go to for great information on my favorite stock. The same seems to be happening on CNBC as well. If you're still with me, thank you, for allowing me to air my one last rant and also for some great one-on-ones with some very insightful and intelligent people along the way. Best of luck with your investments, in this market, you will need it.
Be well my former allies and adversaries,
    Skippy09

  • Tim Cook, We Need More Share Buybacks  [View article]
Mr. Boyd, in all due respect, just the title of your piece gave me pause. I become very skeptical when people here think they can tell Cook & Co. how to steer the ship. They're doing quite well on their own.

Apple? Just DRIP it and sleep well.

"Examples are Cisco, Altera, Palm, HP, and a lot of companies that no longer exist."

That's the flaw in your argument. Comparing the most successful corporation in the history of planet earth to those hapless organizations is absurd.

    "Hate to tell you Greg..."

I think you should address the gentleman as "Mr. Rosenberg."

You should also invest in a spell checker.

Mr. Cook said just that in the earnings call - the middle class is expanding exponentially in China. The demographics there and in India are mind boggling in spite the "doom and gloomers."

Hey, soulreaper, I agree. These perennial Apple bashers must have listened to a different earnings call than I did.

    Think this:
    BRIC
    Enterprise (iPAD/Big Blue)
    Apple Pay
    Apple Watch
    Apple TV
    Project Titan, et al.

    DRIP this stock, man!

  • Report: Apple unhappy with car project's progress, implements hiring freeze  [View news story]
OK, I'm going to make a blanket apology here. I'm sorry for all my snide comments above and in numerous previous instances. I am trying to stay above the fray and handle my addiction privately. I'm trying not to get upset by all the MB type remarks with their negative agendas but I just can't. I should be able to stop, after all, I quit smoking when our first child was born. I quit drinking beer (in excess) and I'm even having success with my ice cream addiction. I should be able to stop my SA Apple basher rebuttal fixation (for lack of better term).
I guess this time it's because it's earnings release day again and I know what happens after another stellar report from this fine company and CEO.

If all of us Apple bulls around here weren't making all this money I'd say it's just not fair. (Sorry, I just couldn't resist)
