  • Apple Lays The Runway To $150 [View article]
I've never been one to read quarterly reports on my portfolio assets but with Apple I never miss them. Cook's bullishness just rubs off on me.

    The shorts should try it.

  • Setting The Record Straight On Apple Smartphone Market Share Data [View article]
    mvermak,

You may be interested in my reply to SA when they sent me a delete notice re. a recent comment I made. I really think the deletion notice was sent to me in error because I cannot believe that I would send a nasty rebuttal to a fellow AAPL bull.
My reply (01/05/2015) in response to deleted comment reply from SA:

    Dear SAMT:
Since your team does "strive to err on the side of facilitating free and open debate" then why does the author of this article show up constantly bashing this company?
I cannot defend my exact post to toneguru because it appears that you provide no example of the comment of mine that your team deleted. But that's alright because even though I have a tendency to get sarcastic at times, I've never written a mean-spirited comment, even to this biased and error- prone author, Mr. Blair.
Perhaps your need to filter comments would lesson if you filtered your authors a little more stringently.

    Respectfully,
    Skippy09

"The overwhelming one sided ness of these comments is reason alone to take the author seriously"

    You're joking right?

To that the author probably supports the theory that what they lose in margin, they'll make up in volume.

  • PC sales better than expected; Apple's share tops 7% [View news story]
Yeah, and what's sad is I remember working with HP big iron equipment when it was of very high quality. Their tech services were also excellent. In PCs there was Cpmpaq, remember them? Cream of the crop way back then.

I even remember when I at least had respect for their printers.

"Mac and tech savvy do not belong in the same sentence."

That thinking is (at the very least) 5 years old.

  • Apple: It's An App Story [View article]
I didn't follow CES but from what I read from the general news about CES if it was all about drones and cars. Apple has always stayed away, they have their own productions called "product release."
AAPL doesn't need CES and they are smart not to waste time and money on it.

  • Is Apple Becoming The Next IBM? [View article]
    stvrob_63:

"Apple has spent a remarkably small percentage of its revenue on research and development in recent years."

Also you must consider the size of the revenue stream Apple has, not just the percentage. A small percentage of a humongous number is a lot of $ spent on R&D. The bears never acknowledge that, only the percent.
    Another example of fact-twisting.
