Short MS to hedge the credit risk on their ETNs ?!!!! You would have picked up a whole new risk (market risk on MS) as well. And puts on MS would be too expensive as well.

How would an individual investor short credit spreads? I think "Short HYG / Long TLT" would be too pricey in Reg T accounts, and also not enough reward because of lack of leverage. Are there any ETFs or options that give direct exposure to credit spreads?
