  • iPhone 6 And Android Value [View article]
Ultimately, the market and users will tell us who is right or wrong. Personally, I would not buy or even take free a Chinese knockoff even if it had comparable specs to an iPhone. The satisfaction of having something that is elegant, functional reliable is worth paying 2-3 times more. I bought 2 Windows laptops ($300 and $550, respectively) in recent years. They were just junky, useless, virus laden. I went back to a $1500 MacBook Air. What a difference?

  • Apple Is A Luxury Brand And That Is The Problem [View article]
For sure, I would go with Tiffany's, Porsche, BMW, and their likes as long as I could afford them. I own Apple products (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air and Pro), Apple shares, and a Porsche. They are all great and perfect for my needs. I am not rich, but I pay for good things if I like them.

  • Apple Hasn't Solved The Smart Watch Dilemma [View article]
First, I would say enjoy it to those who love to have one. Second, the market, not SA authors, will determine if it is a dud or success story. Third, I do not see the point of having an AppleWatch if I also have to have an iPhone with it. I have an iPhone, I can get most of what AppleWatch would give me on my iPhone.

  • Apple updates MacBook Pros, cuts prices [View news story]
As a Mac user since 1994, I gave a try to two different HP laptops ($400-550 range) for my wife's use. They are both gone now because they were infected with virus and we were tried of installing software updates and of sales pitches by many intrusive and misleading third party vendors pretending to be Microsoft or HP. The charger also went out in one of the machines. In short, we decided that it is better, less headache and frustration to pay even 5 times more for a Mac than a Windows machine. Let us hope that Apple will keep making and selling these great computers.

  • Apple's CC: iPad sales, margins, M&A, cash balances discussed [View news story]
I guess we are all the same in different ways. Your is the iPad. Mine is a MacBook Air (13-inch) and an iPhone combination. I must have a conventional keyboard and a larger screen, and I am willing to put up with extra weight and size. If you go to Asia, a smartphone is the only device people can afford and they use it for everything.

  • Terrorism In Iraq And Turkey: How To Trade It [View article]
First, I am a Turk, and I have been following Turkish politics since 1948. Şemsettin Günaltay was prime minister and Ismet Inönü was president when I started following politics. Erdoğan is the most corrupt and most shameless leader Turkey has ever had during my lifetime. Second, if you need proof, listen to the recordings of telephone conversations between him and his son Bilal as to how to zero hundreds of millions of dollars of bribe money they were keeping at home. Also, read the foreign press.

  • Terrorism In Iraq And Turkey: How To Trade It [View article]
First, Typo. The Turks are not Christian, nor are they Western. They used to be moving in the direction of being Western before the government of the Fascist, corrupt dictator (Erdogan) in charge now. Second, I would not touch Turkish stocks and anything from that part of the world.

  • I Was Wrong About Apple [View article]
Folks, I really think we should not waist time for reading this sort of articles. Millions of these have been written in the past two decades. If they were half-right, Apple would have been long gone. These people make a living for writing these articles because there are lots of Apple haters out there who read their crap. Personally, I did not read this article because I know what it says without reading because I have read thousands of them over the years.

  • iPhone 6 Expected To See Robust Demand [View article]
Obviously, there is a market for smartphones with larger screens, especially when someone uses one device for everything, as it seems to be the case in Asia and other developing regions. Not for me. I want something that I could hold with one hand and fits my pockets. I use my iPhone 5 just as phone and for a few other things. I have iPAD and MacBook Air for web browsing and serious computing needs. So, if market analysis indicate that Apple will make money by adding a larger screen iPhone to its product lineup, it should make it.

  • Prospect Capital: What Comes Next? Part 1 [View article]
In my experience, panic selling is not a solution. You always lose money that way. With a few exceptions, holding has paid for me. I will hold and trust that things will eventually turn around. I might buy more if it comes down to a level that breaks my resistance.

  • Can Apple Dominate The PC Market Too? [View article]
In the long run, that premium price you pay is cheap. We had two HP laptops (plastic trash) for which we invested about $800. Battery, charger, virus, endless update installations and endless unwanted intrusive commercials, clean installs (because of virus) we have had it. Neither one is usable in a reliable way. My wife has a 2009 MacBook Pro and I have 2013 MacBook Air (13-inch) now. Well, I dropped that Air out of its unzipped bag onto a hardwood floor from my waist level a week ago. I thought that was the end of it. Amazingly, it started as if nothing happened and has been running well since. So, built quality, elegant look, user interface, OS, and seamless integration with your other Apple devices are all making a great computing experience. After the above-menitoned HP laptops experience, I am willing to pay 5 times as much for a Mac.

You forgot to mention something so important for Windows users. Every Mac is also as good a Windows machine as is your exclusive Windows laptop; it will run all of your Widows programs under any of familiar Windows operating systems. So, it is a Mac or Windows or both, depending on your choice. In fact, a couple of years ago, the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro was voted as the best Windows laptop.

  • Bond ETFs Outperforming Stocks [View article]
This inflation scare is old news now. I have been reading about inflation and interest rate increases in the past 5-6 years. They are yet to come. I bought TBT, held it two years and sold at a big loss because interest rate increase everybody was predicting did not come.

  • After The Split, Is Apple Ready To Become A Dow Stock? [View article]
I will never touch and use an iWatch. However, if there is really a market for it, Apple should make it. Every industry starts with innovations but after a while all it can do is to improve what it invented. Look at the automobile industry. Has there been any earth-shaking change in cars in the past 50 years? Should they invent a flying car just for the sake of inventing something different? You know what? Sometimes my iPhone's touch screen does not respond when I touch on the icon of an application. How about fixing that as an improvement?

  • Apple Hits A Home Run [View article]
I stopped reading the same APPLE doomsday scenarios written in million different ways a long time ago. Do not waste any time reading them. If you trust the products and the stock, buy them. If you do not, buy Samsung and others.

  • Apple Faces A Problem And Increasing Prices Will Make It Worse [View article]
I just skimped through this article because the title was catchy. Basically, there are hundreds of thousands of these Apple articles written regurgitating the same thing in so many different ways. Just do ignore them. The bottom line is that a company like Apple has and can afford the best marketing specialists. I am sure they will do their research before they put a price on a product. If these so-called experts who have been swearing to Apple's demise for decades had been right, Apple would have been long gone.
