  • Apple: In The Smartphone Race, Samsung Has Already Lost [View article]
Who gives you the right to insult Apple customers? Go to Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and other world-renowned universities and see whose product their professors and students are using. You are the first to call them "naive sheep customers". Customers buy and use Apple products because they are superior in quality, function and design to those offered by Apple's competitors. I have used Apple and Windows laptops in the past 5 years; I will pay 5 times more for an Apple MacBook Pro or Air without hesitation.

  • Apple Lays The Runway To $150 [View article]
I ignore those phony stories about Apple going bust. I learned it my lesson. I sold my Apple shares based on fear a few year ago; I still regret. I had bought them at $122-140, sold at $250. Imagine where I would be now If I still had them. I re-entered last year and bought another 100 shares at $105 a few weeks ago. I will keep adding if there comes another dip.

  • Apple: Dear iPhone 6, Meet Desay Mirror X5 [View article]
I would say no current and potential iPhone customer will buy a knockoff. If the author of this article wants one, he could buy it.

Although I am not a fan of the 6+ and would not buy one, I have friends who own and love it. We will see what the sale numbers for 6 vs 6+ will show.

  • My Bet Is That Microsoft Will Outperform Apple In 2015 [View article]
Whenever Apple and Microsoft are featured in the same article, their religious disciples come out with passion to comment for or against. I use Apple products not that I am in love with them and the company. They work, they are reliable; they come with free software and updates; and I do not worry about viruses, endless software updates, and being mislead by those third party sites when I google for something. Now, I imagine some folks are equally happy with their Microsoft products as I am with my Apple products. So, let us use them without being religious about them.

  • Apple Investors Should Think Twice About 2015 [View article]
No one knows which way the stock will go. A lot of people make living by writing bullish and bearish articles about Apple. I ignore them and use my gut feeling based on past performance. Thanks for the dip today; I picked up another 100 shares at $105.

  • The iPhone 6 May Have A Longer Upgrade Cycle - If So, Expect Unit Sales To Fall [View article]
Ok, you have a point. However, consider also market expansion, namely new buyers in China, India, and other developing markets, which will result in more new unit sales.

  • Apple's Big iPad Problem [View article]
Sorry, in my earlier comment I wrote that automobile was invented in 1985 by Karl Benz. It was in 1885.

  • Apple's Big iPad Problem [View article]
As I said before on numerous occasions, there are people out there who make their living by writing negative articles and comments about Apple. You invent a product once, which Apple did with iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc. After that, you incrementally improve it. That is what Apple and others are doing. Automobile was invented by Karl Benz in 1985. It is still automobile, but has been vastly improved through incremental changes. We should also ask these writers what "innovations" they would have liked to see in the newly released iPAD. I am sure Apple will look at their "innovative" ideas and suggestions.

  • Apple's 2% Market Share In India Needs Urgent Remedy [View article]
Good point. Apple has no business in competing in a market for market share where most customers value price over quality or cannot afford quality. Can you get a Rolls Royce at 50% discount in India? Obviously, No.

  • A Seriously Siri-Less Apple [View article]
A lot of people like me whose language (Turkish) Siri cannot speak do not care. We do not and cannot use it anyway. However, as others commented, I am sure Apple has an alternative.

  • Seadrill: What Would Lord Palmerston Do? [View article]
I am underwater. I picked up more shares to dollar average. I feel that the storm will move and the air will clear for SDRL down the road. How soon? I do not know. I am hanging in. If I sell, I will lose big. If I hold, I might recover and win big. No matter what we do, the market is a gambling table.

  • Update: Apple Xiaomi Problems Grow [View article]
Sorry, I did not even attempt to read this article. Why? I have read thousand of these in the past decade. They all regurgitate the same thing--the demise of Apple. Yet, Apple is bigger and better than ever. Most writers do not understand or want to understand who buys Apple products and why. The often-mentioned automobile analogy is the key. Apple customers are Porsche drivers. They like to own and use elegant and high quality goods, and will pay the premium price for them. I am one of those and will not take even free if someone gives me a Chinese knockoff or Samsung.

  • iPhone 6 And Android Value [View article]
Ultimately, the market and users will tell us who is right or wrong. Personally, I would not buy or even take free a Chinese knockoff even if it had comparable specs to an iPhone. The satisfaction of having something that is elegant, functional reliable is worth paying 2-3 times more. I bought 2 Windows laptops ($300 and $550, respectively) in recent years. They were just junky, useless, virus laden. I went back to a $1500 MacBook Air. What a difference?
