I recently moved from the cold snowy winters of Vermont to the sunny dry beauty that is Las Vegas, NV. After quitting my day job I have found investing to be a great lifestyle. Using binary options has helped me become an independent financial entity, and with my website i hope to turn more people on to this great opportunity.

Macro View, my blog, takes a contrarian and analytical view of markets based upon my study of history, geography, behavioral economics and foreign policy. Additionally, I draw from a long list of friends who either have run-cofounded/or retired from some of the most prominent asset management firms, private equity firms and investment banks in the world; as well as my extensive reading investment newsletters and current books on markets and economics.
I seek and find original thinkers around the globe who have a demonstrated track record of grasping extremely complicated subjects and being able to find Waldo, where most others are found hopelessly looking at the wrong part of the page.

I've developed personal investing strategies for individual stocks and Asset Allocation:
1) Stocks - Fundamental value investor using Free Cash Flow as defined by Buffett's 1987 shareholder letter. Invest in predictable, undervalued stocks with good management. Buy with a Margin of Safety, Sell at Intrinsic Value. Hold cash when nothing is available at my price. Use the Kelly Formula to determine optimum fraction to invest in each stock which maximizes the amount of money you win over a lifetime of investing.
2) Asset Allocation (for 401-k, small IRA accounts, and available cash) - Use a 'Value-Weighted' asset allocation strategy with inputs of projected returns/historic volatility. Apply the Kelly Formula to determine optimal asset allocation. Rebalance twice a year in April and October.

I have been trading on the stock market since 1986. With a background in finance and marketing, I ran a highly successful investment advice business in Australia from 1886 to 1998.
After marrying my wife, Amanda, in 1998, I decided to sell my business and make trading my primary source of income. We wanted to travel and live abroad, and trading on the stock market was the perfect way to work from anywhere in the world. All that is needed is a computer and an Internet connection.
I love the freedom and flexibility that comes from trading. There is no need to be tied to an employer or employees, clients, an office or place of work. One can be anywhere and still work, make money and play! I feel that trading is so energizing, with its ups and downs, thrills and spills- as long as the ups and thrills outweigh the downs and spills!!
My focus is on two areas of trading- stock and option trading. By concentrating on these aspects, I have developed a high level of knowledge and expertise.
For a number of years I have been approached by many people wanting me to trade for them. I decided that rather than ‘giving them fish,’ I would teach them to fish so that they could create their own profitable source of independent income.
This was the basis for the creation of the Stock Options Made Easy website....http://www.stock-options-made-easy.com. I wanted to share my knowledge, techniques, and straight-forward methods of explaining options trading with a wider number of people.
My goal is to continue making money doing what I love, and to help others to do the same.

I am LA, a long-time individual investor tired of paying someone else to invest my money. Curious if I could achieve higher returns, I combined my passion for learning with my competitive spirit and opened an on-line investment account with $2,500. Although I don’t work in the financial industry, I am a non practicing CPA which provides me the skills needed to develop my investing abilities. My ultimate goal is to achieve financial freedom and remove it from my bucket list. I created my blog, LA Stock Talk, to record my journey and share what I have learned to help others grow. I plan on churning some stocks and holding others long term based on lessons learned. My journey starts with a few simple rules. First, my strategy will be flexible, I’ll try not to make emotional decisions and will always do my own due diligence and never invest solely on the advice of another. Additionally, I’ll apply lessons learned and will remain level headed as the market swings each day. I hope my articles are helpful to everyone that reads them but it is important that everyone does their own due diligence and does not buy or sell stocks based on LA’s opinions or stock picks.

I have been in the financial industry for about 6 years and am an avid market follower.
I believe that in the short term the market is a voting device of current events, however in the longer term it is a weighing device which accurately shows the state of the economy.
Things Learned in 2009: Markets are profoundly shaped by gov't actions. Even if growth does not occur organically, the market doesn't care. All it cares about is potential cash flow growth. Another little secret: the economy only matters 25% of the time and thus analysis must be extended to sentiment, liquidity, and technicals. All of these factors must be taken into consideration to properly navigate the markets. The key is not forecasting economic outcomes, but rather the timing when you execute your strategy.
I hope that the opinions that I pose in my posts will help you look at things from a different light. They are more honed to the economy instead of where the markets will go from here, however I do add opinions and posts on market direction every now and then.
