  • "The sovereignty of Greece will be massively limited," says Eurogroup chief Juncker, confirming just what it is Greek parliament voted for last week. The comment is underwhelmingly received: "Mr. Juncker ... is an embarrassment for the country whose government tolerates him," replies the head of Greece's public sector union.  [View news story]
even if GS doesn't cook the books, Deutsche bank will come in and do the job, would you blame the Germans then?
there's plenty of blame to go around, obviously one should first look at the Corrupted Greeks who ran away with the mass public monies, the early politicians who led Greece into such mess

  • Amid all the fears of defaults, one EU country plans to borrow less than expected this year and next due to higher privatization and tax revenues. Sadly that country is not Greece but unsurprisingly Germany. However, its loans will rise in 2013-15 - partly to pay for Europe's permanent rescue fund.  [View news story]
Germany has reiterated its stance to keep EU together and keeping Euro strong. It seems that events in Greece only prompted more rescue funds coming from Germany.
That is unless of course if current German govt fails to get reelected and EU will be thrown into a new light altogether
Euro may just go to parity with usd then

GOP leaders don't really care about the debt; they're out to destroy Obama. "Failure to reach a debt deal would have very bad consequences, [but he] must be prepared to face those consequences if he wants his presidency to survive."  [View news story]

looking at the current situation, neither Dem or Republicans are able to come to a compromise and conclusion
it seems to the politicians that US will need to default on its debt temporarily to send a message, hence
"the message would be, stock market crashes as US delays debt ceiling agreement"
