  • Wal-Mart's Ability To Raise The Dividend [View article]
I believe that you said it all; WalMart is a real buy, even after you look at all the competition that was not there, a few years ago!

It will go a long way to dispel the many rumours

  • Wal-Mart: Low On Market Risk And High On Alpha [View article]
FINALLY a GREAT ARTICLE on A GREAT COMPANY!!
WALMART is a company that every one loves to hate.......Duh?
They have survived the last recession (depression...?) with
flying colours and are positioned for the next one, whenever
    it arrives!
I am very HAPPY to be an OWNER of WalMart!

  • Fundamental Valuation Analysis Shows Wal-Mart Should Trade At $85 [View article]
I totally agree with this excellent anayalis!
Many people won't stop and smell the roses as people tend to
be quite jellious of ANY retail outlet that operates with such
a diversified work force, such as WalMart.
Many of the employees suffer many hardships, but WalMart
will still hire them while knowing that it will be a real hardship
for the employees that they have hired!
These employees work their butts off, but it pays off for WalMart
as it shows the employees what they are capable of and improves
their self-esteem, while giving them a place to work, at the same
    time.
This is an incredible company, with a workforce that respects
WalMart and WalMart respects the employees, who have contributed
    to it's success.
Stocks don't just go streight up, all the time! There are many ups
and downs and WalMart is no exception......
WalMart will return with a renewed GUSTO in a few short months...
months that will see WalMart take the lead for the foreseeable
    future!
I predict that WalMart will be selling at over $92.00 with in a few
    months!!

  • Scandals And Poor Results Bring The Spotlight On Wal-Mart In Q2 2014 [View article]
I TOTALLY disagree with the above statement!!!
WalMart is a very great company to work for and
they EMPLOY many people that would not be
in a position to get a job, anywhere else; this one
item makes them the brunt of a lot of jokes, but
the reality of it is that these "so called" unemployables
are able to learn to do great work; work that they
didn't know that they were capable of doing.....

  • Scandals And Poor Results Bring The Spotlight On Wal-Mart In Q2 2014 [View article]
I can't believe that any "normal" citizen could think this way!
WalMart has become the largest retailer in the world; it is because
the American citizens wanted it and it was Americans that built it
up to these levels....... so why the complaining now that these
levels have been reached?.... sour grapes or is it that you missed
    an opportunity of a lifetime?...I don't know and I don't care......
WalMart is continually being critized, by one group or another for
    being successful!.....Duh?? WHO CARES?
They have used everything that everyone else uses; I think that
all the critics are just repeating the same old line, that is always
used in smear campaigns.....Just look at the auto industry, as an
example....the multi million dollar lawsuits and the corruption that
has given the auto industry such a bad name.
Look at how the majority of citizens rate automobile salesmen; they
are at the bottom of the heap, because it is "the in thing" to complain
about these individuals, whether real or imaginatory.
WalMart has made many mistakes, but comparatively few, when you
look at the size of the company.
Another thing, most people don't realise is that WalMart employs many
disabled people, people that would not be able to hold a job, in a
    normal setting!
I AM GETTING PRETTY FED UP WITH WALMART BASHERS!!!!!!
WalMart has made a great big difference in my life, as I took a massive stroke
and was not supposed to live....
I have been employed by WalMart, for over five years, part time, as my
condition does not allow me more time for employment!
WalMart deserves more than BASHING, BASHING and more BASHING!!
They have to be recognised for WHAT they are doing, for the disabled and
at the same time running "the most successful retail operation in the world!"

  • Why Wal-Mart Is A Better Investment Than Amazon [View article]
I am notsure of what to make of most of the comments that have been published about this well written article!
It seems to me that WalMart is the best stock; Amazon is not even in the picture, in a few years, as they keep harping about how well they are doing add it seems that a lot of people are believeing them!
Remember the old adage: " SELF PRAISE IS NO PRAISE.."
WalMart is being constantly dumped on, while building the largest retailer that ever existed; at the same time Amazon is praising itself, as the savior of the world..... Am I missing something? I certainly know that the governments are, with Amazon having to pay a lot less state taxes!

  • Wal-Mart: Bringing Growth To The Business [View article]
As I have stated, many times before, WalMart stock price is way undervalued, compared to the competition.
WalMart is worth aprox, $92.50 per share, considering the buy back program and
    total return on assets!
This company has the best management and these managers rose up through the rank and file of the general work force.
WalMart WILL have a market price of at the very least $92.50 with in one year,
    or earlier......

  • A red flag on Wal-Mart's U.S. sales? [View news story]
It doesn't take a "mental giant" to realise that the economy is in tough shape!
With the world economy as it is, there will be trying times, for many retailers,
but WalMart is on the cutting edge of many of the new ways that retailers are
    being forced to use.
WalMart has taken the lead in e-commerce activities and with their "best of the best" transportation system, you will see them out perform ALL other retail sectors, in the near future.
WalMart WILL trade at $92.50 within 12 months or earlier, depending on how the world economy plays out.

  • Is Wal-Mart A Buy Right Now? [View article]
I certainly with the two previous statements!!
The unions have WalMart in their sights for a good many years; they have not been able to get a foot hold in any(except the store in Quebec) as WalMart hires many disabled citizens that "just can not" work full time hours, which is great for WalMart and "great" for the disabled worker.
As for myself, WalMart hired me, when nobody would take the chance, as
I had suffered a massive stroke and my doctors told me that I would have to live in a nursing home, for the rest of my life.......
I am now a 'proud employee of WalMart" and things could not be better and I have worked at WalMart for over five years.
Getting back to WalMart; they have been expericing a slower growth for the last few months, but with the new government in India, I believe that WalMart stock will be worth more than $92.50, within the next 12 months!
WalMart is one of the most successful companies that has ever existed in the world, today and it was done through carefull management and committing to local charaties!

  • India's Foreign Direct Investment Laws Shouldn't Stop Wal-Mart's Retail Growth Plans [View article]
WalMart is in "damn if you do and a damn if you don't" situation in India, at the present time. With the new elections over and a moderate Prime Minister elected, I feel that WalMart will have to begin expanding again!
India has a fast growing "middle class" who are technology oriented people who are going to be involved in e-commerce transactions, at a faster rate than at any other time, in history.
To keep ahead of the competition, I feel very strongly that WalMart has to take the lead and expand into India, with as much gusto as they did, in the last number of years, in North America!
This will really be of a great benefit to both India and WalMart, while protecting WalMart, as the leader in the technology and food service industry.

  • Online Revenue Can't Fix Wal-Mart's Near-Term Growth Issues [View article]
I must say that I totally agree with throberts3's position on WalMart, even if they
    don't achieve their total objective.
They are "the best run company" in North America and as with any company, one does not know the complete story, as to their future intentions; after all, would it be wise to let your competitors know exactly what your future plans are?
    I THINK NOT!

  • Wal-Mart's Recent Weakness Masks Long-Term Strength [View article]
This writer SURE does not know anything about WalMart!
I am a WalMart employee who suffered a massive stroke, at the age of 48.
The doctors gave me absolutely no hope of recovery and if I happened to
survive, I would be in a vegetative state, for the rest of my life.
    GUESS WHAT?
I got home after 9 and 1/2 months in 3 different hospitals.......
This is just prelude to explain the value that WalMart means to me!!
Nobody would even give me an interview; I approached WalMart and they
offered me a job. without any hesitation, on a part time basis.
This has enabled me to participate in their stock purchase program and all
the other perks that they offer.
I have received an increase in wages each year and they pay way over minimum wages.
Many of my colegues have a variety of disabilities, some that are not noticeable to the general public!
WalMart is a great place to work and employees are treated very fairly!
I am a proud employee of WalMart!!

  • Wal-Mart Earnings Preview: Stock Fairly Valued But An Inflation Hedge [View article]
The above comment is "just sour grapes"!
WalMart is the only store that traditionally hires the handicapped employees and
no one knows about this policy; a policy that gives the normal employees an understanding that most customers don't see.
WalMart is still able to sell at unbeatable prices because of the volume of their
sales, NOT because of DISSATIFIED customers!!
By the way, I AM one of the "handicapped" employees that WalMart has hired
and it has contributed to a much better life for me and all my friends.
GO FOR IT, WALMART.......YOU ARE DOING A GREAT SERVICE TO EVERYONE,
whether they believe it, or not!
