  • Axion Power Concentrator 393: Mar. 26, 2015 [View instapost]
Mr. Investor thanks for the comments. My comments about the SEC and brokers and AXPW were not meant to imply that I am dealing with a licensed person. I am not. I guess what I was hoping to hear was that there was a slim chance of something happening that perhaps in the future could deliver some value back to me. Because the current value is worth the gamble if there is some potential. But, from the comments made so far, it appears not. Thanks again.

Sorry, I guess I didn't word that correctly. My overall cost is $22k. Not worth much now, but yes a few bucks is better than no bucks.

I haven't visited this forum in quite a while, having already committed my shares to the dust bin. But interesting to see the comments, especially about TG and JP, both of whom I have little regard for. I withhold what I would really like to say for fear of a liability suit. Interesting how little the SEC cares for this kind of a 'business operations', but will make sure some broker won't sell 'B' class mutual fund shares 'inappropriately'.

Having said that does anyone have a reasonable idea of what will happen with Axion and the current shareholders? Is there any hope for the company to continue under it's current charter? I have about $22,000 at risk. I can survive that amount but as a retired person with little income except through SS and investments, it stings. In other words there goes that Viking River cruise my wife and I wanted to do before we get to old to appreciate it. When you retire the time value of money becomes much more of a factor.

I'm sure there are others here who will be hurt more and I am and sorry for them because I know there are a lot of very good people invested in Axion and posting their knowledge here. So I wish everyone the best and just pray that no one is being bankrupted.

    Thanks for your consideration.

Your statement is probably correct, however, IMO, TG's handling of the timeline was terrible. It's ok to be wrong if one is honest in their presumptions. TG could have had a more informed communication about what was going on over the timeline. Or he should have said nothing to begin with. IMO TG was not a good communicator.

After selling my position prior to the reverse split and the current offering, I have started a small position back into Axion. Now that they have secured financing for a while I am betting the new CEO will concentrate on sales or even the sale of the company. Full disclosure I lost half of my earlier investment.

GE is the ultimate crony capitalist company. It thrives on subsidization and government contracts. It sold it's appliance division, why, too much competition. Many of today's big corporations are more about eliminating capitalism, which is fundamentally about competition and failure, in favor of "too big to fail" or "systemically important" status. This is no longer free enterprise at that level. Great dividend though.

  • I Not Only Covered My J.C. Penney Short, I Bought The Stock [View article]
That's true, but it's an if. You can talk yourself out of anything if you find enough ifs. Right now the economy is improving, albeit more slowly than it could if the right growth policies were enacted. There is no reason to believe that management won't continue to improve JCP's overall position thus taking the stock higher. One just needs to manage the expectations as time goes by aand either continue to own the stock or sell it. Right now it appears to be a reasonably good investment thesis IMO. I'm an owner of the stock with an initial target of the high teens or perhaps twenty dollars.

I find Seeking Alpha to be a breeding ground for shorters to push inaccurate data. Some stocks that I have owned that have had "hit" pieces written about them are EZCH, QUIK, NNVC, CGEN, and possibly KNDI. It appears that analysts touting long positions must be very careful in what they say and forecast, but not if you are critical of a company. One can make up fantastically inaccurate comments and be held to no liability. Although I believe shorting to be an important component to the markets, the internet through outlets like SA must have to be held to some kind of standard, at least equal to the buyside.

    Thanks H.T. I am showing only 6k. I sold 20k @ .117.

I am liquidating my position of 100k. I will take a loss of roughly $12k on this provided I can get out at $.12 Not a happy camper of course, but the loss will offset the gains I took in KNDI earlier. I will continue to follow Axion and look to get back in if some business is announced. I would rather buy on the way up at a higher price on positive news than wither another slow death on no news and bad financing.

Of course I wish good tidings and success for those continuing to hold.

I sold some Axion this morning, but a half hour later TD Ameritrade is not showing any trade volume. Is there a situation where volume doesn't have to be reported?

I hear ya Rick :). Thanks for turning me on to KNDI.

IMO, Axion will continue to see selling pressure until some kind of sales/orders are shown and that have at the very least the potential for consistency. Really, truly, it's time to sell them batteries. It's not that complicated.

Again, not that it has any bearing on anything meaningful, but I bet it is an oversight typo. Yes some will transition from one service to the other, but I know of no one who graduated from THE premier military academy in the world, West Point, which is Army, and then went directly into the Air Force. More probably he went to the Air Force Academy. But then there is a first time for everything, including Axion getting a decent contract!!

I was wrong once you know, but then I found I out I was wrong. :)

    From the press release"

"Mr DiGiacinto served as a pilot in the US Air Force with the rank of Captain from 1975 to 1981, and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and the humanities."

Not that it has any real meaning, but I don't think you join the U.S. Air Force after graduating from West Point.

I wish Mr. Granville all the best in conquering his health issues.

Mine came via the internet and TD Ameritrade. Linked to a PDF where I can vote online. Very easy, very convenient. I will be voting "for" on both counts.

Mr. Peterson, are you getting any work done at ePower? What with all the posts here!

(just pulling your leg), been a pretty intense concentrator, maybe a little levity wouldn't hurt.

Have a shot of tequila, it's Cinco de Mayo soon.

    :)
