    Regarding the Zynga partnership, see:
    And then:

I'd say I do know what Google+ actually is (so far), and I was pleasantly surprised. The adoption (among beta members) far exceeded my expectations, and there has been an enormous amount of activity.

Moreover, the integration with the Google Apps platform, the yet-to-be-announced gaming platform, and the plan for a business-specific Google+ all add to a compelling case.

See comments from Mark Zuckerberg: "The last five years have been about connecting people, the next five years are about connecting apps." (

The Google Apps platform and third-party marketplace has already produced a handful of 100+ million startups. Google gets a 30% revenue share just by providing the platform. • The Decline of Google [View article]
Keith, it seems analysts and the general public are lagging in appreciating the significance of the new Google Apps Marketplace. It's only a two-month old baby, and they've been deferring their fee until their billing system is in place, so the revenue isn't showing yet, but it is the central vehicle by which Google intends to monetize all of its "free" products, by making them a center of gravity for a cloud-based business and education platform. Google will share in 20% of the revenue of ALL participating third-party software services. Crunch the numbers...this is more significant than their ad revenue.
