  • Is Someone Playing With Oil? [View article]
I am sure "Big Oil" conspired to reduce oil prices just like they did to raise them. What a bunch of fools there are out there making idiotic proclamations!

  • Ike vs. Refining Capacity and Oil Price [View article]
Screw the gang of 20 that want to tax oil companies, limit offshore drilling, and generally put government interference in the way of practical problem solving, What does that wimp, Lindsay Graham know about the oil industry, or any thing else for that matter?

For all of you "Big Oil" haters. How come the price of oil has declined over 30% if they have control over the oil prices? The top ten private enterprise oil producing companies only control less that ten percent of the world's oil producing reserves. If they have the ability to still control oil prices with that little leverage, I would like to know their secret.

What is, is! I am tired of all of the "know it alls" predicting this and that. If they were so damn smart, they would be billionaires and retired instead of putting out B.S.! If only they could be as smart as Obama thinks he is!

  • Will Drilling Offshore Affect World Oil Prices?  [View article]
Hey John Egan, only liberal "dim-wit-0-craps" use the term Duyba. So ten years is nothing. How would you like to spend 10 years in a
    Saudi prison?

Affect, effect, who gives a crap!

adamnb. Every oil company I know of, and I've only been in the oil business 47 years, strives to produce every drop of oil it can.

Computers do not find oil or make accruate reserve estimates any more than they can foretell about so called global warming. Only the driller's bit finds oil. If drilling won't increase our oil supply, just how in the hell did we get our current oil supply?

All of you so called experts who are not in the oil business don't know any more than Nancy Pelosi, which is absolutely nothing. Why don't you do something constructive, like operate on Ted Kennedy's brain tumor!

  • We Can Lower Gas Prices Now If We Drill, Drill, Drill [View article]
You might find a rig capable of drilling 5,000' by calling:405-615-5500. It would be located in Oklahoma.

  • Oil Price Rise: Demand - Supply - Speculation [View article]
Maximax doesn't seem to comprehend that our idiot politicians greatly influence business operations which determine which stocks will be better investments.

And, 85% of our outer continental shelf is off limits not only to drilling, but to exploration as well.

If you don't think the "Dim-wit-o-crats" have had an adverse effect on our energy situation, you are not very smart!

The "greenis weenies" will take the US down if they have their way.

  • 3 Aspects to Pricing Oil [View article]
Fjasyr must be an Arabic word for idiot! How can Exxon-Mobil, as well as the other major western oil companies that control less than 3% of the world's oil, greatly influence the price of crude oil? Foreign country owned oil companies (Pemex, Aramco, Statoil, Petrobras, etc. control 70% of the world's crude supply.

Fjasyr sounds as stupid as most of the members of the US Congress, especially the "Dim-wit-o-craps!

  • Bush's New Drilling Proposal: Fixing a Hole  [View article]
The obstructionist "Dim-wit-O-craps" object to more drilling saying it will not help. Just what do they think occurred that enabled us to have oil and gas supplies that we now enjoy and utilize. Could it have been the only thing that finds and provides us with oil, the drillers bit?

In their infinite stupidity, the "Dim-wit-O-craps" whine that "big oil" is not utilizing the federal leases they now have. For starters, not all if these tracts are economically productive. Off set acreage may have proven barren, which is not a favorable indicator that there is a good chance for potential production in the vicinity. Completed wells may be waiting for pipe lines or on shore facilities to be constructed so the oil or gas can be transported to market. Exploration (seismic or otherwise) may not have been completed, thus delaying drilling on the most favorable location. Off shore drilling rigs are in high demand, and there is a waiting period before they can be engaged and brought to location. Even if all the definitive exploration, evaluation, permitting, and equipment was in place, off shore drilling requires massive amounts of money. Even the largest oil corporations in the world could not afford to drill all of their leased acreage at the same time. Like any other business, they must budget their funds to the most likely prospects, and the ones where a return on investment is the quickest.

  • Exxon's Hoard [View article]
Congress needs to pull its head out! That's asking a lot out of those pompous morons! We need to start drilling in Anwar, and the outer continental shelf NOW. The "greenie weenies" can freeze to death in the dark if they want to, but they have no right to force the rest of us to dance to their misguided, off key, tunes.

  • The Oil Story: Dallas vs. Indonesia [View article]
Drill more wells in more US locations. The driller's bit is what finds oil. If enough wells are drilled, the oil found and produced will go along way towards eliminating our crippling dependence on foreign oil. Let the "greenie weenieis" freeze to death in the dark as they walk to where ever they want to go! Oil and gas are not infinite, but we have yet to discover and deplete the vast untapped reserves that exist. Fossil fuel produced now will buy us more time to develop alternate sources of energy. An economical method of generating hydrogen from water would be a marvelous development.

  • Who's Really to Blame for High Gas Prices? [View article]
The author sounds somewhat like Jimmy Carter - blame ourselves for our problems. (Granted, men with little penises like to drive big Hummers, and little women like to drive big SUV's). Well, it is not because we consume too much energy, it is because we elect ill informed idiots who never took a science course in their life, or if they did, they just barely passed.

A little research would have revealed that ethanol requires a lot of energy to produce and a gallon of it doesn't provide the same gas mileage as gasoline. Of course, the fools believe that the environment will be totally destroyed if the oil companies were allowed to drill in Anwar, and the outer continental shelf. To do so under the jurisdiction of US environmental oversight better insures less pollution than other governments would provide elsewhere in the world.

The man made global warming hoax is easily dispelled if one is to only study a freshman course in historical geology and learn about the many eras of global warming and cooling over tens of thousands of years. More recent scientific evidence strongly indicates that increases in the earth's temperature is closely related to thermal flares (sun spots). Also, the main so called "green house" gas is water vapor. Who can do away with evaporation of water from the ocean. lakes, rivers, rain, snow, etc.? And if we could, how would plants and animals survive without water sources?

Carbon caps is a stupid idea which will not accomplish one damn worthwhile thing, and will create a huge government bureaucracy, while enriching people like Al "Gork" who want to sell carbon caps.

If I don't own a car, I am not going to pollute the atmosphere with the by products of running an internal combustion engine. However, if I sell my caps to someone who does own a car, they are going to put those carbon emissions in the atmosphere, so the net result is about the same with regard to the bottom line.

  • The Triple Play: Oil Addicts, The Credit Crunch and Deflation  [View article]
As a fourth generation "oily", and a graduating geologist in 1958, no one was concerned that the world was awash in oil, and only two graduates out of my class of 136 were offered jobs. Subsequently, in the early '80's, the oil bust resulted in over 600,000 people losing their jobs, and hundreds of oil related companies going out of business.

The owners and top executives of the surviving companies had to make many hard decisions in order to survive. None of our politicians, or the general public were the least bit concerned, as long as the could obtain cheap energy and petroleum derived products.

Now that times have changed, "Big Oil" should be punished according to the warped logic of the pandering politicians and ill informed public.

This is tantamount to killing the goose that has laid many golden eggs that have enabled the civilized Western world to build great countries, and raise the standard of living for most of the people of the world.

If finding, producing, transporting oil and gas, refining, getting the end product to market is so easy and lucrative, why doesn't every one get in the oil business. All it takes, in most instances, is millions of dollars to speculate on leasing, drilling, and completing wells (assuming you are fortunate enough to find hydrocarbons in commercial quantities, instead of being liable for plugging a dry hole).

Better yet, why doesn't every one invest in oil company stocks?

After all, the oil companies only have to evaluate geological prospects, negotiate leases with mineral owners (whether they be individuals or foreign governments that can change the "rules" overnight), figure out how they can prepare the drilling site (whether it is located in deep oceans, swamps, mountain sides, deserts, or populated areas), comply with numerous rules and regulations, make arrangements to drill, evaluate the geological formations encountered during drilling operations, complete the well, install production facilities to separate oil, water, and gas (make arrangements to safely dispose of the produced salt water), and transport the hydrocarbon to market. Then comes the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of investment to design and build refineries that are efficient and comply with numerous EPA, and OSHA regulations (even if permission is granted).

Oh yes, "big oil" has it made. All it has to do is pick the low hanging fruit that abounds all around!

Better yet, let's just kick their asses, it will make us feel better even if only reduces supply and raises prices!

  • Big Oil Once Again Abused by Congress [View article]
Thomas Barta is a real genius. Why he is so smart that he knows our stupid government has all of the answers. Just look at Venezuela, their nationalized oil company is now producing close to a third less than it was when Chevez started giving orders, and nationalizing the private oil operations.

Tell you what Thomas, you go ahead and vote for the "dim-wit-o-craps", and your grandchildren will hold you in scorn for what you left them to contend with. I'll bet you voted for Jimmy Carter!
