  • The Oil War No One Talks About [View article]
Obviously the writer thinks "Holding a player that can get through the next six months would appear, from this perspective, to be a strong play for profits in the spring of 2014."........2014???.... If this is a typographic error or if it is intentional, it completely undermines your quest for accuracy and the efficacy of this article. This was the next to last paragraph's end line.

Nope...... read the Wiki if you want to....... 1960s[edit]
The company expanded substantially throughout the 1960s, making millionaires of some long-suffering investors who had nursed the company through the slow research and development phase of the product.

  • Apples To Apples: Organovo Vs. Repligen [View article]
I was around when a number of folks put the unbelievably huge sum of $10,000 into the Xerox stock (a decent house was $16,000). Few at the company where I worked, Univac, could appreciate that type of investment, other than the nerds who bought the stock rather than a home.

A decade passed into millions but you know all that.... now. I am so amazed that so few people of "great intelligence" fail to see the likelihood Organovo will follow an eerily similar ascendency.

Yogi Berra..... "it is deja vu all over again". I am absolutely giddy.

  • Middling rally in mREITs as rates drop [View news story]
PMT has done very nicely and should be on the list. Elsewhere, seems the general media is still most uncomfortable with admitting that the labor went down to 6.7% unemployment because nearly a more realistic number is near 16% totally unemployed, by comparison to those who had jobs 6 years ago. I might be off by a percentage point or a year or so but you get the drift. AGNC, NLY and others have made sane modifications but the news media persists in running in a tunnel of denial. In the mean time the mREITs will slowly claw back and justify the long hold.

  • Organovo: Modest Expectations For The Liver Tox Assay [View article]
Soda straw view of the Grand Canyon. Incredibly well researched but in a narrow bandwidth related to profitability versus sales of test kits. With the escape premise that ONVO can always sell out to a big pharma. You are bang on. However, just as you so perfectly delineated the complexity of creating test samples (none the less body parts), you left out the 'pull dynamic' of general population demand, serendipity and 'erooMs law' subject to popularity. Google, Facebook and others of their ilk are corporate manifestations of public 'pull'. In effect, the money was coming in prior to the product..... if any. Serendipity and ill logic wreak devastation on well placed arguments of why a new technology may not produce. I buy the stock based on the radical permutations that can and will occur as the fledgling ONVO is exposed to all manner of opportunity not yet envisioned by me. I have made great profit on such companies with a 'long and painful future', simply because an application and solution arises that no one has anticipated. Your work is commendable and thoroughly read and enjoyed by this investor.

MP, throughout the discourse you, as others have used the first person "I" in comments. You used the word "we" as part of your reply of 12-Dec. 8:58 pm..... "Also we track the 10year treasury futures, Symbol is ZN, you should watch that and how its moves affect AGNC on a daily basis... its pretty amazing actually the correlation" Who is we?

  • American Capital Agency Investors Could Get Crushed, Again [View article]
Hmmm..... I bought a lot at the high and will not sell it at a low (especially near 15% interest). If I sell at a loss, it would be at the benefit of my tax bill for CERS going from $1 to $6 and ONVO going from $4 to $8 not to mention a few others on their way up. So I cover 'sell' taxes in the future while making a livable interest rate. I must be too uninformed to know better but I'll be darned if if am going to sell.
Looking forward to Scott Kennedy's next update. Just in case though, where did I put my tin cup and pencils?

Sonia, write more carefully! Always consider the prospective audience. As for your life's work, supreme kudos for starting and running a business. You have displayed great talent in being able to create a profit for yourself as well as provide an income for many others. You are so correct in naming the government 'invasive'. Keep the faith.

  • Report: Top 50 polluters emit 75% of greenhouse gases [View news story]
In the end, this article has benefitted me mightily. I now know who is out there in la-la land, having no scientific basis of arguable content, steeped in self righteous indignation at those who actually toil to earn a better life and resent any semblance of success. Sonia, darkmark and their ilk have self-convinced their mind that investing in one's self and in others is bad. That good character is bad, because it grows from effort, ingenuity, self reliance, independence and individuality, all of which are anathema to the very government controls IndioBravo, darkmark and Sonia (and ilk) wish to impose on a nation formed for individual liberty. Such sycophantic followers of the elitist Gore-bage are now out in front of the camera, recording their rant and indelibly placing their life and thought process (lack of) before the very world each claims to detest, while that same world feeds and clothes each sycophant. There comes a time when those, so malcontent, may have irreversibly diminished their fretless life, only to recoil aghast, at what each truly deserves.... nothing.
