Rocco, I know it's probably not your style, but have your ever thought of starting an investing newsletter and actually charging for it? There are so many "gurus" that know nothing and consistently underperform and charge waaay too much money for their advice.

  • Think Sears Is On Sale And Cheap? Think Again [View article]
I think I recall some smart money calling it a value play.. the same smart money that saw value in BAC and didn't do too well in 2011. Bruce something was it? So had someone recommend shorting BAC back when it was trading at $ 10 (30% down from 15) would have been giving the obvious call?

I'm thinking WHO is holding AAPL, and GLD and other stocks that should sell off if your scenario plays out. I reckon investor are actually PARKING their money there, rather than trading in and out of their positions. So with the GT10 at 1.85%, and the bunds and gilts at their current levels, I don't see where all this old and new money can go, besides beneath mattresses. Being 100% long the market might be a foolish thing to do right now, but shorting everything at these valuations might be a mistake.

  • Surprisingly up in a down tape (and nearing a 52-week high) this morning is Wal-Mart (WMT +1.2%). Overnight, India reversed a decision which would have allowed the company greater access into the country, seemingly one of the last great growth opportunities left.  [View news story]
But not the last. I think Africa is the last frontier. The time frame is still unknown, though.
