  • These BlackBerry Updates Look Promising [View article]
Andreas, you were right, and us bulls were wrong, then TH was in control. and I paid dearly. Now I think you are probably wrong. TH laid some good groundwork, and now Chen is taking that and multiplying it by 10, with an extra bit of charisma blended in. Great ideas, well implemented, with charisma to deliver it, is a recipe for great success, and that seems to possibly be the case, with Mr. Chen. You are right, nothing is proven in spades yet, but the proof will be in the pudding soon enough. And the brave bulls may well profit mightily, with relatively little risk.

Zack's is now touting BBRY as a Buy also, and Zack's is not exactly minced meat. they waited until it analyzed as the real deal, and then pulled the trigger. I bought more yesterday, after selling all mine on the way up recently. I should have held onto at least 1/3 of it, but got burned during their bad times, so I was extra conservative.

  • Annaly Capital: Looking Ahead To Q2 Earnings And A Potential Dividend Increase [View article]
I think NLY is a good buy at $11, so I bought more today. I think they have diversified adequately, and they are more likely to go up than down, b/c of their seemingly intelligent restructuring/philosophy (diversification trend). They seem to be oversold here in the short term. I think this is more of a bounce, than a trend, this recent sudden drop. I'm selling some when it gets close to $12, and then re-assess. My avg dollar cost is becoming more favorable, as time goes on.
No point buying a little high, and selling low, on a stock that seems oversold, and pays a great dividend.

  • BlackBerry: On Track To Financial Stability [View article]
the stock won't go down much after today, b/c the significant % of analysts that are going to quickly upgrade their outlooks for the stock...which will further fuel the uptick, after the initial downward small bounce (which is already partly over, possibly).

most of us know there is very little chance of that happening...what's your angle? shorter that didn't sell soon enough, and now trying to get out for less loss? you are very hard to believe. I don't think you believe what you just wrote.

  • Annaly Capital Management, Inc. declares $0.30 dividend [View news story]
Our NLY is having a great year. Let's not kill the golden goose. This is good news partly b/c it supports the stock price level, and is more likely to lead to it going up, than down. It was oversold, and is making a comeback gradually.

  • BlackBerry soars after FQ1 results; expects break-even cash flow this year [View news story]
Finally made back some of the crushing losses on this baby from last fall. I've been watching this like a hawk for 2 yrs, and have learned not to discount the shorts though. I bought my first BBRY phone last night, the Q10, and am excited for its arrival tomorrow. I sold some on limit at 9.3 today, and have another limit at 10. Then I'll buy more on the next pullback. JC is the man. Shorts, run for cover. Yes, some of the extra cash horde is from sale of real estate and another one-timer, yet he has a knack for doing whatever it takes to get it done, so you shorts and naysayers say what you like...BBRY is on the way back, and is building positive momentum. This may be a 2 or 3 bagger, or more, with JC at the helm. I didn't want to buy a BBRY phone until I had more evidence they would be around a while, and their are many thousands (or more?) people out there that have been holding off for the same reason...many of us know their phones are top-shelf, and the extra security we're willing to pay a little bit extra for. And the style is sweet. I just bought one of the better looking mobiles out there.

  • The Party Is Just Getting Started For John Chen And BlackBerry [View article]
Executives, gov't officials, and people with high-security savvy/needs don't do their phone shopping at Walmart, I'm thinking. So why discuss a source that does not have much to do with the niche BBRY is targeting? Are you shorting BBRY, paid by one of its competitors, or what? Come clean. You spend way too much time on here, bashing BBRY, to not have some underlying reason to be doing what you do. I'm very cautiously, and mildly, long BBRY.

And if you've shorted BBRY, have you admitted here on SA previously? If not, then what you say would not be particularly credible, imo. I am very cautiously, (slightly) long BBRY.

Good point. I bought more BBRY at 7.77, but I want to be realistic too. BBRY has great, uniquely good products, but more people need to use them, to earn profit.

  • BlackBerry Can't Divest Of Its Devices Unit Even If It Wanted To [View article]
T-Mobile was hurting BBRY. BBRY had to jettison them. BBRY is either too good for T-Mobile, or BBRY is not worth their salt. Time will tell. I'm not a fan of T-Mobile.

  • National Oilwell cut to Neutral from Buy at ISI, shares -2.8% [View news story]
When the above article was written, Fidelity Investments had the following breakdown of the analysts they follow, in regards to this stock (NOV):
    5 Neutral, 2 Outperform, 3 Buy.
They have not changed at all since ISI changed their rating, or this article was written. Overall, the analysts Fidelity follows have become more bullish on NOV in the past several weeks. I am long NOV, and this article is intended to give additional perspective on ISI's rating change.
