  • Crude Oil: Approaching $100 / Barrel ... Not This Time [View article]
What a reverse! I was short oil but I had to jump ship at the current break out. I will get my shorts back in as the stormy clouds part.

Im in agreement. Ive made money shorting AMZN and i will keep trying my efforts at timing it. The effects of it's bullishness will eventually cause its crash. Im am currently NOT short. But i plan to in the near future

  • Which Oil Services Stock Is The Best Bet For 2013? [View article]
    @ rru2s
REGI trades on to little volume for me to play. Just can't break my ow rules.

Nice article, i agree SLB is a good long term play. But i am a short term trade.
I like BHI at 40-41, its a buy.
But there is alot happening this year to scare me from chasing stocks up. My play on oil is UCO for now. I told my family and friends to buy at 27-28. As oil goes up so will this play, thus saving you money at the pump.

  • How To Build A Complete Benjamin Graham Portfolio [View article]
ETF's have no typical fundamentals. These take a more in depth study. But the concept is the same. The idea is to know what stocks make up the ETF, then do an evaluation individually.

Or use the technicals. If i were you i would use both. But on the contrary i enjoy Sores trading as well. Ben and Warren have an excellent method, but if you can appreciate the biased approach at the same time, or the right time, you will still be fine.

  • Oil Continues Up In December, Historically: How To Play It [View article]
Interesting write up. I would like to say it is nice to see others opinions on the oil sector, i live in Houston in this is my main sector of trade.

I find it odd you base your future trades off of the past rather than future events. But i agree RIG and SLB are getting near buying targets. I also like BHI and possibly WFT if things can changes. Another worth mentioning is FTI with its large growth.

Also, there seems to be a slight istake in your writing. RIG was below 40 in Jan. this year. I know because thats when bought it. Keep up the work, and dont forget to emphasize stop losses.

  • Why Does No One Ask Hard Questions Of Weatherford International? [View article]
Every long-term movement in the Beginning, was a short-term movement. I do believe oil will go up in long term 10-20yrs. But im buying what makes money today. Oil sector is continuing to be bearish. I will buy when the bottom is reached. Not WFT but more realiable oil companies that will sell at discount prices. To much dirt on WFT. There are better plays.

  • 5 Diamonds In The Rough Under $5 With Potential Upside [View article]
    I agree with oil finder.

I have some on a watch list, but that is for the future. In the mean time these stocks are off limits. But on the swing side they could be a value buy. Coal and Steel will come back. (the price value will). At least I believe so. Although currently they continue to fall. 2014 we should start seeing real growth.

  • Amazon Primed For A Big Drop As Growth Slows [View article]
Let me try a different approach..

The idea would be to purchase the same amounts of PUTS and CALLS (amounts based on dollar basis, not actual qty)

Doing this on PCLN CMG and NFLX in there bust made a huge profit. If AMZN does pop this is a safe way to cover. But if it stays flat you lose.

All you need is a 200% return on one of the options and your good.

CMG on the weekly options the day before their last earnings the option insanly jumped 18,000%.

    NFLX last aug. was 15,000%.

I will try this on AMZN 3rd qrt. and 4th qtr.

    For about $500 each time

Adam, with the chance of AMZN running up to 300 or falling to 150, why would you not buy long for the 300. But also buy large amounts of puts around 190 or less. This in turn would counter your leverage. Both puts and longs at the same value but in the event the stock breaks one way you drop the loser and make money. Like a butterfly but with long, in which i would also use margin. Its not smart to teach novice investors to go heavy on the contrary side of an up trending stock. But if you do, try to counter their risk or please preach a stop loss.

With that said, i think AMZN is going down. Like PCLN and CMG.. But i would take a more conservative approach. I did enjoy your article and i learned more about AMZN books. You are a fine fundamentalist!
