  • Phillips 66 (PSX) is the latest energy company to aggressively pursue pushing cheaper U.S. crude through rail to its refineries, after signing deals with Enbridge Partners (EEP; also), Targa Partners (NGLS) and Magellan Midstream (MMP). PSX's new partnerships show refiners are accepting that U.S. oil production, set to grow by nearly 1M bbl/day in 2013 to 7.3M bbl/day, is not a flash in the pan[View news story]
The fact that we have to blend so many different gasoline for area and seasons to much EPA regulations. The high federal state and city taxes will always keep the prices higher than they have to be. Don't forget ethanol adds to the price also.

  • New York City will become the first metropolis in the U.S. to ban cigarette displays if legislation proposed by Mayor Bloomberg passes. The measure would be a dramatic change from the high-profile positioning of tobacco products near checkout counters at retail outlets and would follow up on other aggressive anti-smoking laws in the Big Apple. [View news story]
Thank God Bloomberg will be leaving unless he changes term requirement again.

  • Canadian messengers are promoting the Keystone pipeline as in the U.S. national interest and an essential part of moving toward energy independence, but the argument is undercut if most of the oil flowing through the line would end up being exported, as seems likely. Adding to the controversy is Pres. Obama's reported remarks that the number of jobs supporters claim the pipeline will generate is exaggerated[View news story]
Canadian companies pay a lower corporate taxes what makes you think king obama will let more oil come from the good old USA soil It's not happening !

  • The recent NYT editorial calling on Pres. Obama to "say no" to the Keystone pipeline (TRP) is tantamount to a declaration of war of Canada's oil sands, Financial Post's Terence Corcoran asserts. "Tar sands oil should be among the first fossil fuels we decide to leave alone," the Times says. "This is war somebody is going to lose, and [the Times] has decided on Canada," Corcoran answers. [View news story]
Canada they should just sell it to China if we don't want it. This will help China expand Then China can loan USA more money that's the Obama way than he will raise more taxes to pay the growing debt.

  • As leaked earlier the State Department's assessment (full report) of TransCanada's (TRP) Keystone pipeline project  finds little to criticize as far as environmental impact, calling it "very unlikely" any releases would affect groundwater quality. The report also doesn't see much climate impact nor "significant adverse" impact on Canada's environment. There's now a 45-day comment period and then things move to the White House. [View news story]
If Obama is against it you know that it must be good for America !

  • Canada has taken extensive action to protect the climate during the four years it has waited for U.S. approval of the Keystone pipeline (TRP), and there’s little more it can do in the short term, its ambassador to the U.S. says. Hinting at frustration with environmentalist concerns, he says the pipeline would displace greenhouse gases, not create new ones, "so we are not participating in gimmicks." [View news story]
We will still use oil but who will get the money and the jobs.

  • TransCanada (TRP) plans to hold a non-binding public solicitation of interest to ask Alaska's big gas producers XOM, BP and COP if they support a pipeline project that would send liquefied natural gas from the North Slope to buyers overseas. TRP's original plan for an over-land pipeline may be giving way to an alternative plan to super-cool the gas and ship it overseas to buyers in Asia.  [View news story]
This seams to be the correct choice with Obama's view on energy. What needs to happen is a change in the up coming election's.Only then would we have free enterprise and a welcome approach to energy flow in the U.S.A. Which would bring a growth and jobs,a thriving economy. Than leading to more revenue collected by the government without raising taxes on anyone The bottom line VOTE for a change that will help all Americans! We need a change in the tax code that is clear and fair.
