Oliver Drews is the founder of Clifftop Colony, a investment advisory firm focussed on making Sub-Saharan Africa accessible to the international investor community. He sees "emerging Africa" as one of the most promising opportunities of our investor generation. Oliver combines sober realism with a strong passion for the continent, where he grew up. In order to pursue the African opportunity, he left a career in the global investment banking industry spanning over 20 years, where he worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Credit Suisse as a Managing Director. He has worked extensively in emerging and mature markets, notably in Africa, Asia and Europe. Oliver holds a B.A. (Hons) from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and a M.A. degree from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) where he obtained a Fritz-Thyssen-Stiftung Scholarship.
