  • Gasoline Price Increases: Prelude To The Next Recession? [View article]
"However, given recent technological advances in drilling, the US is actually now in much better shape than it used to be"
However, to make an advance, one must have the support of the ruling class, and in today's market we have none of that. The ruling class in charge of our system today is in an all out assault against our previous system of maintaining the status quo! It appears as if our ruling government is against fossil fuels, is making an appearance to be in support of it while at the same time doing everything it can to destroy it. All you have to do is look at the words coming out of his mouth and then comparing his words to his actions. I maintain that you may be correct in assuming that there is very little risk in gas prices rising in a harmful fashion if he is ousted in a new election, but if he manages another 4 year term, Katy bar the door as they say, as hell hath no fury as the King Dong reelected to a second term as President. I say that if reelected, by the end of his second term, this country will be indistinguishable from N. Korea, Russia, or China. Laugh at me if you must but I believe what I believe from his previous actions and I think we will be doomed. Of course, if you don't care one way or the other, you may still profit from this knowledge if that is what is most important to you. God Bless America!

  • Under a little-noticed provision of the new financial legislation, the SEC no longer must comply with nearly all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act. Congress and federal agencies can request information, but the public cannot.  [View news story]
I agree with cincinnatijake, except not only do we need to mass on the sec with torches, pitchforks, and copies of Orwell's 1984, but the White House and the Halls of Congress also!
