    my observation--I've been here in china since summer, and every single person on the bus, in the malls and anywhere else I can see answers a call with a little penquin on the screen... the QQ [Tencent] mascot. It's a more common household name in China than microsoft in the U.S.!

    I've been to both Singapore's new luxury casino and Macau in the last few months-- my observations.... I'm betting higher profits are taken by the Macau casinos, by the sheer number of Hong Kong visitors and the proximity to the mainland alone. The Chinese love gambling. And a few billion new wealthy Chinese are just getting their gambling addiction started.

    Yes. our exit from stocks and physically from southern california was calculated.We bought some bank owned homes well under 100K, rented out with cashflow and quit our jobs! Our retirement investment funds have been on the sidelines in cash since last February anticipating this double dip. We are also enjoying the best year of our lives!-- voluntarily leaving the U.S. job market for travel thorough South America and now Asia for the last 9 months. We are enlarging our views, learning languages, and not sitting around complaining about the economy like our friends back home. Life is good when you manage your expectations with reality, and don't listen to headlines or presidential "bull".
